    Just returned from the concert. It rocked!!! What a fun show. They did the entire Black Parade album, then a quick costume and set change (probably took 5 minutes or less) and then they performed a whole other set as MCR with songs just from their first 2 albums. Shawn

    sundance had personality but dude struggled singing throughout the competition. he only had two good performances that they showed - his initial audition and then the song he did last week (the week before Pearl Jam). other than that he probably shouldn't have been in the top 24 to begin with...

    i'm a vocalist/performer so i watch it from that perspective. Doolittle can sing - she's got great presence and a great voice. there is no way she should have been a backup singer. even if she doesn't win (and it would surprise me if she didn't) she is going to be huge away from the show...

    Daughtry's album is surprisingly good. not a landmark album or anything - but it is definitely "listenable". however, with him only time will tell if he can be a success or not. he is still riding off the wave of Idol. the jury won't really be in until his second or third album. but hey...

    Thanks for the info. I own the Oxford Companion to Philosophy (hardback, 1995, used). I picked it up for $8 a couple of years back and use it quite a bit.
