So Donald believes an expiring 9 mil contract, a first round guard, marc gasol, and two future first round picks, and cash are basically nothing. What exactly does that prove? Funny how you whine CONSTANTLY about Sarver sending your draft picks off for cash and how its ruined your teams...

Why Suns fans should be rooting for the Spurs

Dog, im in total agreement with you on this. I didnt mean to imply you were blaming him. I agree. As a player, I would have a hard time following the coaches direction and fouling like that. It just wouldn't feel right to me. I wouldnt feel like it was an honorable victory. This is an ethical...

No, we gave up crittenton (a first round pick) we gave up 2 additional first round picks ( not positive on the years, 2008 and 2010 i believe) and Marc gasol who at the time was supposed to go 1st round, went 2nd but over last years development in europe has made scouts contend that he would be...

Come on Cheese, have you not been reading my posts. I have said several times, as it looks now, its a steal but that can most certainly change depending on the picks. What happens if say they pull off a dwane wade like deal with one and a similar one with the other? What if ONE, just one of...

Look, you are just arguing for the sake of arguing now. Give it a break. I dont think the trade was as hugely lopsided as you do. I dont think there is any real way either of us can evaluate it until you see what the picks produce. Im not all seeing and all knowing like you. Then again, who is...

Why Suns fans should be rooting for the Spurs

I have read several articles dealing with how the intentional foul itself is detremental to any "true" sport. They say fouls are called for breaking the rules of the game. They go on to state that to intentially break a rule to gain advantage over an opponent is not sporting in itself. The hack...

OK, so you are confirming that high round draft picks are important and valuable considering what you get for them? Am i correct? Then i ask this. How can you evualate the trade as being a steal or a bust until you know what those picks become? Again, as i already stated, for the time being it...

I just go by the reports I read. I go by Mitch's and Jerry Wests comments that Marc was not just some throw in piece but may well end up being the cornerstone of the trade when all is said and done. Geeeeeeeeez... lighten up a little.

Nowhere did i compare what the two teams got for the picks. I was simply talking about the IMPORTANCE and VALUE of picks. Don't put words in my mouth then call them drivel.

Where have i ever said it wasnt a good trade for us? I would love to see that. And at the current moment it may very well be considered a steal. However, what i have been pointing out, as have others, is that its not as onesided and so many just throw out there. Come on, you and cheese...

I stated that Marc had a terrific upside and was asked for a source. I supplied a scouting report. I really dont see how that makes me look disingenuous? Everybody says its such a steal. For gosh sakes, we gave up our starting center, who hasnt panned out but who's value was the expiring...

This was a scouting report...one of many. I remember when the trade went down, a reporter asked Pau about all the hype he was getting in Europe and Pau himself said he felt Marc had all the tools and potential to surpass his own accomplishments. Ill try to find it. That is of course why i used...

Ditto. As a Laker fan i have no problems rooting for other teams i enjoy watching if my team should be ousted. Heck, even when being ousted by the Suns, i could easily root for them against the Spurs or Mav's because I have followed Nash's career since his Santa Clara days. How does my rooting...

Did you not consider that maybe the Spurs defense got better as well? Regular and playoff seasons are completely different. It's about making adjustments and countering the adjustments the other team has employed. You cannot just play one way ie the way you played all year in one game scenarios.
