    Not quite the start we wanted for Pedrique....Sparks has nothing on his knuckleball tonight so far - 5-0 Twins in the 4th; Mark Davis will have his work cut out for him as the new pitching coach.

    Pedrique takes over for BB, Mark Davis takes over for Kniffin (WOO-HOO!!!), Sherlock becomes the third base coach....I couldn't hear (damn DSL at work) who the new bench coach was, but Yount decided his loyalty to BB precluded any job with the new staff, and I believe he quit.

    Hairston supposedly missed not one, but TWO bunt signs before popping one up in the 9th; after the first missed sign, Pedrique should have pulled Hairston aside and told him to bunt instead of missing another sign!

    I don't think management realizes that a majority of the fans could deal with a losing club, as long as it was part of a rebuilding process, and not the Retread'backs we have right now.

    As long as Kniffin goes along with BB, I'm okay with it. Our pitching staff has seriously regressed from last season (aside from the Schilling trade), and it's time for upper management to make a change. This season is going nowhere, so we might as well concentrate on instruction/hands-on...

    Well, it was nice to have the lead for a while....Detroit comes back with 3 in their half of the fifth, tying the score at 5; Service is now in for Fossum with two outs & a runner at 2nd.
