    The reason that a lot of us are upset with Grace right now is that he is the worst of our "hitters"(starters or bench)!! Nobody on the ballclub has been spared from the fans' wrath this season - it all comes down to production, and Grace simply isn't producing right now. I agree the same thing...

    If BB wanted the runner in motion, he should have either tried a hit & run play, or just sacrificed Mondesi over - IMO the situation & field conditions (muddy infield) were wrong for Mondesi to steal on his own, but if it would have worked, I wouldn't be saying a word about it.

    15 hits THREE runs 26 LOB Pathetic. Watching the 14th inning was painful, especially Hillenbrand hacking away at a terrible pitch for strike three, and Finley (ONCE AGAIN) swinging at anything thrown as a first pitch!! If we are going to field a team of hackers, bring up the youngsters...

    Aaron Boone goes to the Evil Empire for a LH pitcher & cash; Jeff Suppan (along with two other pitchers) is going from Pittsburgh to Boston for two pitching prospects. I'm not sure Selig would stop any trade at any time - maybe this is his own method of contraction!!

    The strikeout pitch on Shea was borderline inside, but Shea swung at one about 18 inches low and outside just prior to that...already I'm about ready to hurl listening to ESPN's crew gloat about Willis!! He is a good young pitcher, but they are making him sound like Sandy Koufax!!

    Mondesi got to the ballpark about 15 min. before gametime, and BB decided to let him chill out and get ready for Friday's game (according to ESPN); he is available to pinch-hit.

    Looking at the lineup for tonight, I notice that Bautista is playing LF for Gonzo - just curious if Gonzo's elbow is bothering him after getting plunked last night, or BB is going with lefty/righty matchup against Willis....or a bit of both. I'm glad the game is on ESPN2 so I can watch Big Unit...

    I've always kept out of the Grace discussions, mainly because I love having him in the clubhouse, and I felt he was a roster untouchable; as the season wears on, my mind has changed on that, and I really hope he decides to either come up with a prolonged ailment or go to the announcing booth...
