    This is the most optimistic I've been in 6 years... which isn't saying much. It's moreso that I think the teams around us in the division are weaker than they have been in a while. Unfortunately my "optimism" is like barely winning the division and then losing in the first round.

    I'm just saying that if Asante Samuel Jr. gets signed, by default Melton is going to be pushed down the depth chart. Same with EJ. Williams isn't going anywhere and will stay at the slot, so it would leave one starting role for Melton/SMB/EJ to battle for. The next guys up go to #4/5 in the room.

    Seems like a special teamer/solid reserve that doesn't preclude us from bringing back Kyzir or addressing it in the draft. Seeing that Dre Greenlaw is gone... so Kyzir is more or less the best we can expect, IMO.
