    2024-25 NFL Draft Prospects

Trade down? Talents like James Pearce, with worldclass developmental potential doesn't fall far. Ossenfort would most likely have to trade up, if he wants Pearce.

I think that is very true, and it has always been my preferred philosophy. I know there is another popular approach where you build up a very strong secondary, because that will help the pass rush, but I don’t like it. I prefer to build up the trenches. It looks like Darius Robinson will come...

I sure hope so. I think that is by far the biggest need. Actually, I feel fairly good about all other units.

Yes, you are right, but I also don’t think the approach will change, even if one, two or three new front five players are added. Gannon swears to a zone defense that will give up the shorter gains but prevent the big ones. I doubt that it will change, though it hopefully will be more effective.

I hope not, as I think the secondary has been a very positive surprise, and I would like to keep them all together for some years. That said, if one of Budda Baker or Jalen Thompson needs to move, so there is space for DTD, I certainly hope it will be Thompson. Bakers are way too valuable. Much...

I think that his is what we will see. The offense goes as much through Connor as it does through Murray, so it is not like Connor will suddenly be used in a rotational role, but I do think Benson will get more and more carries. Yes, and much of that value comes on special teams. One of their best.

That is true. Nobody knows anything. I will say, though, that there is no one in the draft that I would like more than Mason Graham. Could you see him and Darius Robinson wreaking havoc from the inside, while a new edge rusher stud comes from the outside? That is a dream to me, but I will be...

I have been reading around the internet today, and in all fairness, I want to acknowledge when the media does what I am criticizing them for not to do. I am not sure how much I can copy onto here, so I will just do a little and then link to the rest of the articles. This is from CBS...

    Offense and O-Line analysis - Week 10

Thank you, Bach! Exactly what I was hoping for.

I know, Chris, and even though it doesn’t really matter, it is still frustrating. I mean, most of us are Cards fans for enjoyment and entertainment, and part of that is to hear the world talk about them. Kind of like when they had the first pick in the draft. Everybody focused on them. It was fun.

    10 thoughts - Jets game

Yes, I agree, and it is obviously working, so it is a little silly that I argue against it. The winner is always right. I just don’t like when the opponent slowly moves the ball that much. It is demoralizing to me. Wouldn’t it be at least exciting if they had a great pass rush? I mean, I would...

While I agree with your point in general, Oaken, I think that the chance of getting Mason Graham is long gone. :( However, this draft class should be filled with great d-line prospects.

1 – This is the offense we all envisioned going into the season. 2 – Maybe I can ask @BACH to make a short analysis on Evan Brown? He keeps impressing me (Brown, that is. Sorry, Bach). 3 – Kudos to all the DBs, but Garrett Williams is their best cornerback. 4 – Not only did Murray set his...

Yes, TR, it has truly turned out to be a great pick. Isn’t he their best defensive lineman now? I think so, and I also think that he is one of the biggest building blocks for the future.

    10 thoughts - Bears game

He already is. McBride is the most targeted on the team with 60, but Harrison is only five behind at 55. That is the 30th most targeted receiver in the NFL. I just think that Murray often looks other ways in the most critical moments, and I actually doesn’t blame him. I think that Harrison has...

    10 thoughts - Bears game

I doubt that too. I just think it would be the right thing to do. Or someone like Harold Landry, Azeez Ojulari, or another more established guy than Browning. That is a good point, CFL. However, I also think it played a role that he fumbled on his first catch, and he have had several drops...

    10 thoughts - Bears game

1 – Wonderful special teams-play. Easily the best one of the three units. 2 – It’s not about how you fall, but how you get back up. To rebound from being 2-4 after the destruction in Green Bay shows character, and that ultimately falls back on Gannon. I salute you, Sir. 3 – Max Melton is...

What would you give up for…

If he continues his highly impressive streak today against Washington his price will go to at least a 3rd. I would still consider it.

Report: Cardinals Calling Teams Ahead of Trade Deadline for Pass Rush Help

I would be okay with that. Clowney is a good edge defender. Even on an absolutely horrible Panthers defense he still have an okay pass rush win rate, and he ranks #1 among all edge rushers in run stop win rate according to ESPN’s metric. And he is only one year removed from a very good season...

What would you give up for…

I would give up that prize for Garrett without thinking twice. The problem is the finances. If the Browns trade Garrett, they would have a cap hit for the next two seasons of 45.5 million. Coupled with their issues with Watson’s cap, and the dead money-hit they will already take for Amari...

Yeah, I agree with that, Slanidrac. Do you see them buying one at the deadline? Maybe big brother Ojulari? I doubt it, but it would really put my hopes higher about the season than now.
