    The Official US Soccer thread

Was an interesting series. The first game was a lot of grinding in pretty awful conditions, let Jamaica control a fair amount of play in the 2nd half - wasn't the most encouraging thing, but a solid CONCACAF road victory Home match was so much more open - completely dominated the first half...

    The Stranger (Netflix)

Of course I missed this during COVID when everyone was watching TV and it became my airplane program when traveling for work..... Really enjoyed it and this type of stuff in general. A lot to tie up, some loose ends more satisfying than others - but a really fun watch I'm now going to work...

Monty Williams Fired (Hired by Detroit)

You know?? NBA coach still getting paid NBA money replaces for NBA player as coach of a HS team - will coach both their sons and also Tim Duncan's kid This guy doesn't need a book about his life, he needs a whole series of novels

Thursday Night Football: SF vs Seahags

What I'm rooting for and what will likely happen seem to be in severe contrast - the defense has had a couple right weeks and started this 3 games in 11 day adventure banged up and it hasn't really gotten better As for ties, I always found they worked against the chase team when 2 teams above...

2024 Black Friday Coach Firings Tracker

Yeah, but they are doing it in the most Jets way imaginable and Rodgers is also in there and not particularly likeable - so there will be a ton of noise

2024 Black Friday Coach Firings Tracker

He was pretty bad from the start and never really got better - his excuses just ran out. Can't blame them from moving on

    Kansas @ ASU Saturday 8/5

Definitely a fun one to watch - seems like a good environment as well

Yeah, I really enjoyed that young potential with Dike - just nothing but major injuries - rough for him

There is usually an "Americans Abroad" your article that does a weekly rundown. The algorithm feeds it to me, so I don't even know where it comes from...... I'll try and remember to link the next one, they do a solid job

I'm not a fan of REM and find this to be as insufferable as anything else Michael Stipe has whined through ..... Which is part of the reason why music is awesome. Find your flavor and jump in

ASU @ Texas St Thursday 9/12

Some really good foundation building and a nice start. Complete tale of 2 halves, but very competitive on both. They were close to getting swallowed by the momentum shift, but responded really well

    2024 International game #1 Eagles/Packers Game thread....

Yeah, that was pretty textbook grounding - was under pressure, ball didn't go past line. The lower half contact didn't impact the trajectory or cause it to fall short - he did a baby hook lob to dump for an incompletion - never an attempt to actually connect with anyone I didn't like the...

Mississippi St v ASU Saturday 9/7

I really couldn't guess. I remember when Georgia came here, there was a lot of interest from Georgia fans. To the point where I heard offers of fronting season tickets with a local and then going to that game and leaving the rest the season. I don't think it will be close to that I have...

Mississippi St v ASU Saturday 9/7

While I think the result was maybe exaggerated, the WY was fun and a bit exciting. It made me want to get to a game and check them out Shouldn't be much reason why there isn't a great atmosphere for this one

    Ted Lasso

Yeah. I think the 3 season arc was really well done and I'd be fine leaving the story where it is. However, there is still breathing room for a lot of other stories and the writers gave built up a good amount of trust in his they approach things and the deliberate nature in how they structure...
