Yeah, I've never liked Kempton in that role. Has Al slipped noticeably?

I don't listen to the radio broadcasts often but if I need to go somewhere during a game I'll turn the game on and Al hasn't noticeably declined much since the Nash years, when I listened more frequently. I think he's been turned off by the bad basketball though. He doesn't have as much enthusiasm when calling games as I remember him having in years past. I believe he lets Kempton talk more now, for some reason, which I could really do without.

Interesting. Perhaps the loss of his wife is a contributing factor too?

My only issue with Leander is his stupid catch-phrases. If he would stop saying "downloads a three", "elevates and detonates", and other stupid stuff, he'd be fine.

If anyone has an hour, I suggest listening to the podcast “The Timeline” episode 10. It is an in depth look at the 09-10 season. Leander is on a lot of the clips, and there are a lot of them, but it was nice to listen to the last great Suns season.

Yeah. I think the fact that he is 85 years old might have something to do with it. His job must be the most wonderful gig in the world, because he has no interest in quitting until they have to roll him out.

I'm literally counting the days.

Between ASU, UofA, The Cardinals and the Dbacks, the sports in AZ are UNBEARABLE right now. I would much rather watch a young, exciting team (Even if they lose)lose and develop than watch the dumpster fire that is the rest of our sports.

Please Suns, just be interesting.

'Funny how a half a year ago we couldn't wait for the Suns season to end and the D-backs to begin.

It's funny because my win prediction for them is going to be pretty close again, so it's not like it was unexpected, but man, still so disappointing.

I'm trying to remember how I felt headed into last season. I knew we wouldn't be a playoff team but I also didn't expect to see the Suns finish at the bottom of the standings. It ended up being a good thing since we walked away with the #1 pick but with Bledsoe here we really were sort of treading water. I know we had a youth movement but he needed to go to allow us to bottom out entirely to add the best possible young talent we could.

I enjoyed it better than most. Got to see JJ turn it around in one season. Booker took it a notch higher. There were some good things last season even though there weren't many W's.
