What do you remember about this team besides flaming out in the playoffs?

Looking at the numbers everyone in the lineup pretty much regressed from the previous year except for Spivey having a breakup year. Gonzo turned back into a normal human and his slugging % dropped by 200 pts but Randy/Curt we’re still dominant. It’s really hard to repeat but you think they would’ve made more noise in October...

It was where Bob Brenly's weaknesses as a strategist began to shine through and was the beginning of the end of him as a manager. There's a reason he hasn't even been offered a job as a coach since his days with the D-Backs, and it's not because it has been his choice..

Melvin was seen as the brain behind that team. Brenly was hired because he was the polar opposite of Buck and the clubhouse could relax and enjoy themselves finally. Also I think Randy went to hard down the stretch to take the CY from Curt and he was spent in the NLCS. Looking at his September splits they were absolutely incredible.
