U of A is really missing on font court recruits. We are good on wing and G positions but the main 09 class of bigs are now off the board. Worse is guys like Renardo Sidney & Jeremy Tyler look like their USC & UCLA's to lose.
UA has good bigs in the 08 class though and Withey is not a 1 and done kind of recruit so he'll be around a bit.
Who knows on Sidney and Tyler, for months now we've been told UCLA isn't recruiting either kid. A few weeks ago Jeff Goodman interviewed Sidney who gave him a long list of schools, when Goodman pressed and said who is REALLY recruiting you, Sidney admitted USC is the only team aggressively after him.
I heard something the other day that said UCLA is now back in recruiting Sidney the move to Fairfax has apparently impressed them and they think Sidney has made enough positive changes they're now recruiting him again but if he has any issues prop up they'll back out.
Tyler went from thought to be a huge UCLA lean to UCLA is not recruiting him in a few months this summer. he fired his trainer and suddenly had a posse, an overly involved family, and ties to Master P. He then came out and said he's a huge USC fan, always has been, and would like to play for them.
So it looks like officially USC has the overwhelming lead for both Sidney and Tyler, unless the rumors are true UCLA is back recruiting Sidney.
Interestingly in a recent tournament they went head to head and Sidney outscored Tyler 32-0!
