On Footballguystalk.com they are doing a mock NFL Draft. Here's how the draft went. It's now 1.06 and the Cardinals turn. Who should the Cardinals draft?

1.01, BENGALS: QB Palmer
1.02, LIONS: WR Rogers
1.03, TEXANS: DE Suggs
1.04, BEARS: DT Kennedy
1.05, COWBOYS: CB Newman

1.06, CARDINALS: ?

Byron Leftwich, Marcus Trufant or Dewayne Robertson

I'd take Leftwich

Looking to the future

Sounds maybe nuts, but... how about Leftwhich. Why? Hopefully the Cards will never be in this good of a draft position again due to a better record and if McCown is not the QB of the future, then you have Leftwhich. Leftwhich could be a franchise QB.

Leftwich

Suggs, Newman, Kennedy being gone makes this a no brainer.

I predict

that if that is the scenario then the Cards will trade down, try to pick up an extra pick and will take Jerome McDougle

If we have to pick.....defense, defense, defense....... Since Suggs & Newman are gone..... Marcus Trufant...... unless we can trade down with New England, New Orleans, or Oakland for 2 number 1's..... I would prefer the 2 picks over Trufant.... I think we can get 2 guys that can help more

Leftwich!! Fast delivery and accurate. My primary alternative.
Or, trade down and take a DE and then Grossman or possibly Ragone (note: I was not impressed by Ragone in the Senior Bowl, but with his height and arm strength, and with proper training, he may work out) in the second round.
