Harry's article "The Big Finish" is an excellent read.

While reading I noticed a commonality between this season's schedule and 1998. Just as in the Cardinals last playoff season, the final game of the season is against San Diego; except that instead of a home game it will be played in San Diego. Harry's predction for this season's W-L record is 9-7. Could it be that the Cardinals go into the game against the Chargers needing a win to get to 9-7 and earn the wildcard playoff slot???

Interesting. San Diego looks like a monster team this year, both on Def and Offense. Of course, they were playing Oakland, who looked horrid.

I can only hope that that is not the case. We need to go into the SD game either 9-6 or 10-5, because I seriously doubt that we could beat the Chargers. But you never know???

If we are 10-5 going into the last game, There shouldn't be too many teams in the NFL that can beat us. That said, if we are 10-5, the playoffs should be a lock and we won't really need the game in order to get in.
