For all the ppl saying a loss is a loss, get serious. There is an ocean between this close loss and last week's attempt to cross midfield. Enough with the tough guy locker room talk. And as for 1 positive, there were actually a few.

1) Christian Kirk belongs in this league, and should be a solid weapon for Rosen going forward.

2) Markus Golden I thought showed some burst. Don't care about the dumb penalty or the fact he didn't register a sack, if he is actually healthy that is a major upgrade. I was nervous he'd look like a guy...coming off a major knee injury. But he looked good.

3) Nkemidche flashes more often than I give him credit for. I still think he lacks the heart to turn into a consistently dominant DT, he'll be more a guy who shows up his contract year and flashes along the way. But that's more than I thought we'd get out of him.

4) Budda Baker is good at football! Who knew

5) Rosen looked solid. He will make mistakes and throw picks, but he looks in command and throws a great ball. Only a few minutes but minus the horrible pick 6 that got called back, I liked what I saw.

This is a bad team this year, get used to it. The list of negatives obviously far outweighs the positives. But at least our team showed up this week and doesn't need to feel guilty about cashing their game checks like last week.

I'm going to say the defense is starting to look pretty solid. They are hamstrung right now with a terrible offense that is worse than just punting the ball for the most part. The Bears had as many points scored off turnovers as we had points.

Let that sink in for a second.

On the flip side if you import a great OC and keep our current defensive coaching then things could turn around a lot.

Don't get me wrong we're a long way from greatness in my opinion but realistically the OC change out should be relatively all that I can see needing to be done right now.

Wilks is a new HC, he's making a lot of rookie HC mistakes but that doesn't mean he can't coach yet it just means he's new. Our talent level is also thin at best.

I think a new GM and and a new OC would fix a lot.

My resposne to this is that our defense looked ok against one of the worst QBs in the NFL. We are a dumpster fire and we are irrelevant. It is back to not even getting game highlights on networks. Rosen will keep this from happening for a couple weeks, but after that, same thing.

I counted at least 5 passes by Trubisky that any half way decent QB in the league would have completed (at least a few of the passes) ... and that would have doubled the Bears point total ... and suddenly, our defense that looked good, wouldn't be looking so good.... it was a mirage.... Trubisky was only marginally better than Bradford... Russell Wilson (much as I hate the little turd) is about 100 times as good as Trubisky.... fear and loathing in the desert....
