– Season’s over.
– Many say that the Cards are ahead of schedule in their rebuild, as a reason to not be too upset that they will again lose out on the playoffs. Bulls***! I want to win, and I want to win now. This sucks.
– When is Prater coming back?
– Good that the draft will be filled with quality defensive linemen.
– I have found (in my mind, good) excuses for Murray for years. Not anymore. It is the stability that is my main problem, because the potential is very obviously there. At least a third of the NFL would kill for a quarterback like Murray, and you can see why in several games. But then there is the other half of games, the ones were he cost the team. The difference between his floor and ceiling are way too big, so even though you can absolutely win with Murray, I no longer believe that he can take the Cardinals deep in the playoffs.
That said, what’s plan B? If you don’t have that, the instability with Kyler Murray is still better than the horrors with John Skelton, Kevin Kolb, Ryan Lindley, or whoever else you can go to that level with.
– I really like the black uniforms this year. In fact, they have nailed all three uniforms this time.
– Looks like Isaiah Adams is now the starter at right guard. I like it. Way more potential than Colon.
– On most snaps, Geno Smith could have had time for a cup of coffee in the pocket before the pass rush even got into his sight.
– Realistically, the highest draft spot they can get to is probably #10, if they lose out.
– The offensive line was clearly a strength until the bye. I am pedagogically educated, but I still cannot find a more diplomatic way to say it than that they have sucked ever since.
