Dallas wins a game in Los Angeles. :D

Too bad it had to be a game in which Gary Payton got two technicals in a row (total BS on the second one)...got tossed early. Very weak.

Anyway - Dallas had not won in LA since, ironically, Dec. 12th 1990. Exactly 13 years ago.

LA has still beaten Dallas 46 of the last 52 times they've played.

I know you're just going to accuse me of being anti-Lakers, but I have no problem with that ejection. Gary Payton had just finished giving Steve Javey an earful, picking up his first technical, and he threw the ball away from Javey down the court. He knew as soon as he did it that he was going to pick up his second technical.

I get tired of watching players like Payton and especially Karl Malone verbally rustle the referees without any repercussions. I thought it was nice to see someone finally T them up.

If I were a referree, I wouldn't take crap from any of the players.

I would get the reputation that I would allow you to say something once, if you do it again you're T'ed up, Do it a third time and you're outta' here.

The players in the NBA sometimes have disgusting attitudes. Most are paid millions and they act like absolute babies.

I understand the first T. Nobody runs their mouth more than Payton, but to give the second T immediately after that sooooo early in the game is not consistant with the officiating this year. Heck, in a game discussed on this board - Rasheed Wallace was doing everything in his power to get a second T...LATE in a 4th quarter and the official refused to call him for one! And it looked to me like Payton was practicing his bowling arm on that last ball he "threw." :D

I think it was Mathis that used to be that way. He was the only official Barkley wouldn't mess with.

I thought only losers used officials' calls as excuses. That is, after all, what Laker fans have been telling us for years, isn't it? How do questionable technicals have any more of an impact than bogus fifth and sixth fouls?

Nowhere did I say losing Payton cost us the game. I would have called the official's decision weak had it been a Sun or a Maverick, etc. that he double-T'd - I wasn't complaining soley because it was one of my team's players that got tossed.

How many times did scott williams get tossed last year. I find it funny because he usually didn't get tossed while he was on the court. If anything it would happen while he was sitting on the bench. i would hate to be on the suns bench from a players point of view of course). People seem so miserable on it. Either that or they're desperate to get some attention. Maybe they said get more assistants. Give some of them the job of checking up on the players on the bench and making sure they're up and ready to go. The Mavericks are doing a pretty good job with that. How else do explain all of those very good players sitting on the bench and not acting up(fortson may be an exception).

I saw enough of the game to catch the technicals on Gary. They seemed appropriate.

And if they weren't, that's tooooo bad.:violin: :violin: :violin:

Punk Payton and bully Malone couldn't win a ring on their own so now they are riding Shaq and a rapist to an undeserved title. Such fine people, all of them, led by such a humble man.

I watched every game last year. I don't think Scott Williams got tossed more than once or twice, and I really don't remember him getting thrown out of the game while he was on the bench.

Williams is probably the most vocal Phoenix Suns player when it comes to the referees, and he doesn't hold a candle to guys like Gary Payton or Karl Malone.

I love this years Laker team.

Even if the Suns do suck all year I'll still watch just hoping that the Lakers lose. It's just like the Yankees. The Lakers have always been my favorite team to hate but it isn't much fun at all when they're mediocre. They are so much more fun to hate when they are very good.

Imagine the look on Payton and Milkman's face when the get illiminated. They'll make one of those Visa comercilas from it.

I kind of want them to win. I was also kind of hoping they would beat the bulls record for wins in season. I doubt that will happen but I really like how the 4 allstars are playng together and its only going to get better. They are really fun to watch.

I was watching espn last night and I heard this same comment about "so early in the game."

Since when is that a guideline for refs? Give T's late but not early? Of course if they give them late then they are ripped for not letting the players determine the outcome of the game.

Their justification was that the fans wouldn't have a chance to watch GP play. Wheres the integrity of the game in that! If that is the kind of BBall you want, watch the Globetrotters and the WWF!

If you do something worth of a T, then you should get it.

The stupidity for GP's getting tossed so early lies squarely between GP's ears. He got a T and then he threw the ball away. What did he expect? The ref would have been wrong to not make that call.

It was fun to watch Laimbeer say, "What are you talking about? He should have been outta there!"

Fact is, it looked to me like GP WANTED to take the night off. He probably wasn't looking forward to dealing with Nash and Fins all night.

To get called for "delay of game." :D

Yeah, the Lakers had only beaten Dallas 5 games in a row before this last game...I see why he'd be intimidated by that matchup. :D
