1 - Welcome, Josh Rosen!

2 - Welcome back, David Johnson!

3 - Was anyone really surprised that a game in this series came down to a missed field goal and a good field goal?

4 - This loss doesn’t hurt nearly as bad as the other three, because I get to see what the future might bring.

5 - Like I said last week, anyone on this board could run for positive yards on that defense.

6 - Rosen-to-Kirk is a thing.

7 - I know that Tre Boston will draw some personal penalties, but I like that he plays with that intensity and toughness. I think the defense has missed that since Swearinger departed.

8 - The only time I have followed the commitment process going from high school to college was, coincidentally, when Nkemdiche came out. I remember how he was extremely high recruited by all the big college programs since he had basically won game by himself in high school. Since I don’t usually follow the process I don’t know if anyone has been higher recruited, but I doubt it. He had been nothing short of absolutely dominant in high school. It’s fun to now see him be good at the NFL level.

9 - Give some credit to Byron Leftwich for getting Rosen ready for this. It’s not yet another knock on McCoy, because it’s not his job to do so, but it is a shout out to Leftwich (who might even replace McCoy at some point?)

10 - Looks like they have two very good special teamers in Zeke Turner and Rudy Ford.

11 - Chad Williams sighting! Chad Williams sighting!

12 - I’m glad I said that a couple of weeks ago.

14 – Garoppolo sure gave the Niners a spark last season, so why can’t Rosen do something similar? Different context – I get it – but the notion that a quarterback can change a team is not different.

13 - Why on Earth did they not use their three timeouts on that last drive by Seattle? Why did they not realize that Russell Wilson is good, so that they should probably try to get Rosen another chance?

14 - I understand why Darren Urban keep comparing Josh Rosen to Matt Leinart, but it makes me nervous every time I read it.

15 - I know that probably no one wants to hear this right now, but I understand why Wilks appointed McCoy in the first place, and I sort of understand it if he keeps him around. Wilks is a rookie head coach, and he has brought a rookie defensive coordinator with him. It’s only natural that he wanted (and still wants?) someone with a lot of experience at the top of the coaching hierarchy, and on the side of the ball that Wilks himself is no expert on, to help him out from time to time. Doug Pederson did the same with the Eagles (Jim Schwartz), Matt Nagy did the same with the Bears (Vic Fangio), Mike Zimmer did it with the Vikings (Norv Turner), Sean McVay did it with the Rams (Wade Phillips), and there is a lot of other examples. The Cardinals have no other offensive coach with anywhere close to the same pedigree as McCoy, and I believe the rule is that it has to be an interim coordinator from within until the end of the season, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if Wilks kept McCoy in his current role.

1. :lies: :stick::stick:

4. No moral victories. We don't remember any moral victories from past season do we?

5. Run defense, despite their ranking in middle tier of NFL, cannot stop any team when they have to

7. Tre Boston comes to play. Should Cardinals extend him? I say yes

10. Gunners and Punter are playing really well. Really Really playing at a high level. Return teams and Dawson suck.

Thank’s for the answer, Arz!

4 - No, I won’t call it a moral victory, but just that the three other losses really hurt because the team was miserable, and nothing pointed forward. Now, I think there is something to hang your hat on in regard to the future.

7 – They are supposed to have a huge amount of cap space next year, so I’m with you that they should definitely extend Tre Boston.
