As the countdown to heading down Magnolia Lane continues, Golfweek is taking a look back at some Masters history through the years.

Today, it's time to examine the 2008 Masters and the significant milestones that occurred at Augusta National Golf Club that year.

Who won the 2008 Masters?​


Trevor Immelman won the Masters after shooting 75 in the final round, the highest final-round score by an eventual champion in Masters history. Immelman joined Gary Player as the only players from South Africa to win the Masters. Immelman held at least a share of the lead after every round. For the week, Immelman was first in driving accuracy (48 of 56), tied for second in greens in regulation (51 of 72), fourth in driving distance (287.5 yards) and tied for fourth in putts (112).

No. 1: Ten yards added to the front of the Masters tees. Back of tees reduced to ease patron movement.

No. 7: Six feet added to the left of the green. Left-rear bunker moved back.

No. 9: Right hole location softened on first and middle plateau.

No. 11: Several trees removed on right side of fairway and fairway widened.

Who won the 2008 Masters Par 3 Contest?​


Rory Sabbatini won his only Par 3 Contest, shooting 5-under 22.
