The extra $10million in cap space could help with a possible Cousins offer, no?

20 million to start with.

Cutting Tryann Mathieu and converting Larry to Signing bonus you get some cap space (unless I am off on Larry's money structure). Sign Deon to a 3 year deal to reduce the cap number and Cards can be active in Free Agency with few other moves as well.

This is why one should not get hung up on Cap number. Disner is as good as there is managing it.

Larry is in the last year of his deal so converting his money to signing bonus doesn't make a difference.

We could also cut Iupati to free up more and I am all for cutting Veldheer if he’s not going to be LT.

The draft and FA OL class in the worst in decades. So Iupati is worth it. Also, cardinals can get least get a 6th round pick if they put him on trade market.

The OT has 3-4 first rounders who'll start right away, mtl. and the center/G class has has a few immediate starters as well.

The Texans are in a position to make some major noise. They finally have their franchise QB(as long as he bounces back from his knee injury). They already have a good defense. If they can grab a couple WR's to compliment Hopkins they're going to be a scary team.

Yes if he is willing.

Just a guess...but I'd bet part of the conversation between Larry and Kurt revolved around Kurt wanting 3 years guaranteed...and seeing if Larry would also be on board for playing those 3 years.

That's putting a lot of faith into old and/or injured players.
Our defense is going to be depending on young guys and we need leaders. Budda Baker, Robert Nkemdiche, Olson Pierre, and Haason Reddick. Adding a vet CB, vet ILB, and vet DE only helps the transition, and you don't have to have long term commitments. Our defense is going to have to play lights out if we want a chance to compete because there is no immediate help outside of Cousins for our offense to be anything more than mediocre.
