I take it no one's actually interested in the game. I can't bet because the bettor in me wants to put money on Texas, but I have been an Alabama fan from birth. Never bet on games in which you have an emotional attachment.

I'd like it to be a tie game, and to have the AP poll vote in Boise St. at #1 in protest.
They would probably still give it to Florida (Tebow), since they were ranked ahead of BSU going into the bowl games...

Bad turn of events for Texas. They were dominating early and Colt got hurt. :|

Dominating? Or did Saban have a complete brain fart the first five minutes of the game?

I hate that McCoy's out. I think Alabama would have punished that offense either way, but now Texas has an excuse and that really bothers me.

Alabama offensive line is pushing the Texas defensive line around like it's practice. The holes they're opening up are ridiculous. If I were Bama I wouldn't even put up a pass. I'd run a running play from every formation in the book. And I'd give it to Ingram about 15 more times at least.

Ugh. Sounds like the injury is not that serious. Colt wanted to go back in, but his dad and the coaches were concerned - not about his shoulder today - but for his NFL future.

X-rays were negative - let him play !! :|

:yeahthat:

If not for a poorly executed shovel pass that turned into a pick-six...Texas would have the lead.

If Colt hadn't gone out Texas would have been up 14-0.

But, Texas defense just wasn't up to the task because the one thing Texas has never had under Mack Brown is a Thumper at LB. They have 3 1000 yard rushers this year in the NFL. Defensive backs all over the league. 2 former defensive linemen going to the pro bowl. An all world Center. (Our guy of course. :D) But not one single bad a** inside linebacker. Hasn't been a guy worthy of wearing #60 in 15 years.

It's disappointing that an injury happened that affected the outcome of the game. I hate it either way. I don't want my team to win because the other team's QB got hurt just the same as I don't want to lose because our guy couldn't go.

But that's just me.

I guess the AP has Boise at 4 this morning. Craig James votes us #7....

Not that I'm upset about winning the bet, but contrary to the way this one got settled, the first score was by Texas, not Alabama and was actually a field goal, not a rushing TD.

You are correct. When I opened the boxscore on ESPN, this morning, I actually missed the first quarter scoring and read the 2nd quarter as the 1st quarter. My screw up. Maybe 22 bets are too much for me to handle. I try to make it fun.
