Awesome that you were there NJ! And yes, how did it all go so wrong so quickly? Seemed like the Cards had the most talented roster in the league, they were playing with passion...what happened?!??

The two flies in the ointment for that great win, were HB going down for the season, and CP's finger injury.
And the poor luck that a 13-3 season did not include a #1 seeding. How often does that occur (answer: not very)?

Football is so random you know we were a handful of special team plays from winning double digit games last year.

Carolina going 15-1 proved to be a fluke to boot. I'm still trying to figure out how they beat the Vikings this year.

It was the coldest game I've ever been to and I was at the infamous snowball game against Dallas in 1989. Wife and I were drinking hot chocolates at $6 a pop. We also had Hot Hands and my wife, somehow, ended up with mine.

I hear ya...not impressed by Carolina this year as they seem to pull some luck out of their ass each time they win and they’re not exactly destroying the league’s bottom feeders.

That was the beginning of the end....
HB's injury more so than Palmer. Palmer was still somewhat effective. Remember, he threw for 267 yards and 2 TD's the following week and threw for almost 350 yards in the playoff game against GB. Plus we still had DJ. But losing Matthieu meant we lost our heart and soul of the defense and it showed.

What a beautiful memory NJ. How we got destroyed this year there was a stark contrast to how we dominated that night. I wasn't ready for that beatdown quite frankly.

How were they a fluke? Because they lost to one of the greatest defenses of all time?

No, because they went on to win only 6 games the next season with nearly the entire team intact and this season, while they've won 10 games, are fairly average. Hell, when any team wins 15 games it's a fluke.

any team almost going undefeated is a fluke, but the idea that they were a complete mirage is a joke. They suffered what a lot of teams suffer after losing the Super Bowl, but they've bounced back, headed for a possible 12 win season and shot at the #2 spot in the NFC.

10 games and are fairly average... even though they've beaten the Vikings and @ the Patriots, while also having Ws over playoff contenders Falcons, Buffalo and Lions?

We beat the Jags and Titans. Does that make us better than them?

You do realize that your opinion isn't the only one that counts, right?
