The 2008-2009 season commemorates 20 (mostly forgettable) years in Arizona for the Cards. Does anyone know if the Cards are doing anything to celebrate the milestone?

PANTONE, are the Cards going to wear any kind of patch? They used to wear the AZ flag on their shoulders, right?

I don't know who that is :)D), but I haven't heard anything yet.

I kind of wonder why they didn't do anything last year; since 2007 was the 20th season in AZ.

Yeah, but that's like the millennium ACTUALLY starting in 2001.

The D-Backs recently were celebrating their 10th anniversary this year 1998-2008 with giveaways.

I'd think the Cards should do the same this season to commemorate the 20th, 1988-2008.

Is that really necessary?

I'm not sure. Since you are the bandwagon Phoenix Lakers fan, ASFN good ole boys representative on this thread, and the fact that you have 17,000 posts, you tell me. But my thinking is that what is important to local fans that live the Cards daily, isn't as important to people who are removed from the situation. I don't care if the 20 years weren't "successful." Each of those 20 years meant something to me. I remember each one. I remember the players, the games, the great wins, the heartbreaking losses. Yes, it should be celebrated.

Calling out cardsfanmd is uncalled for. He is a more involved Cardinals fan being 3000 miles away than the majority on this board.

Dont you have another message board to pollute?

IMO, the Cardinals dont deserve to celebrate anything. They've done little in Arizona outside THE playoff season (how stupid does that sound in today's NFL?) and Anquan's rookie year. The highlight reel of 20 years in the desert would be about four minutes long and a great laugh for the rest of the NFL.

Wait a minute, now.

I disagree, great highlight over twenty years.

Just don't count wins...

Since you are the ASFN expert, I guess in your ASFN world that makes sense, even though he joined ASFN a year ago. That leaves 19 seasons unaccounted for. But there is life outside ASFN. I'm not sure if you are aware of that or not. Outside of that life, there is a way to invest and follow a team that really only locals can experience. If you think someone from Maryland was invested in the 1988 season the same way Phoenix residents were...well that is your opinion, but than again, ASFN is your life. You of all people should know what I'm talking about. Take your empty Lakers experience each year and compare it to your Cardinals experience. How many times have you ever been to the Staples Center in your life?

Like a dozen or so. Usually 1-2 times a year there and 1-2 times here for LAL/PHX. What's your point again?

You and your crew of "You must live in Arizona and root for Arizona teams" crew should get an apartment together and live in harmony. Be sure to call top bunk!

Hahaha. twice a year, if that. So I guess the answer is zero. Hit me up if you ever need tickets to go see your "favorite" Lakers play the Suns. The sad thing is that you are so consumed with yourself and the ASFN good ole boys life that you can't even read my statement to see if there is any truth to it. You just jump at the chance to start an argument.
