Red Sox vs White Sox
Yankees vs Angels

The Yankees could of hosted the first round if they would of won today but they lost and the Angels won so the Angels get the first two games.

I think both series are evenly matched. They should be exciting.

I was really hoping either the Red Sox or Yankees wouldn't make it. Now, I'm hoping we don't have to watch them (and listen to all the overly dramatic announcing) in the ALCS.

I like the Angels too.

Red Sox get their a$$ handed to them by the White Sox. Boston's biggest weakness is their pitching. They sure miss Pedro. They need a win tomorrow.

I liked the White Sox to make the WS in Spring Training - an Angels/White Sox playoff series would be very good baseball. Meanwhile -

Beautiful day so far. Red Sox are swept and Johnson gets shelled.

6-5 Yankees.

6-6 Angels won't fold.

It's probably asking too much to have both the Yankees and Red Sox eliminated in round 1. But, if it goes back to Anaheim for game 5, I don't think New York can beat Colon there.

10-6 Halos.

Love NL-style baseball - and lately, nobody does it better than Sciosia and Guillen. Which is weird. (That was certainly one problem with the DBacks this year - they played bland AL-style ball.)

THERE IS NOTHING BETTER THAN PLAYOFF BASEBALL!!!!

Well, this was odd to read. When has any player on Earth, in any sport, rated Arizona fans much above illiterate pond scum? I always think we get a raw deal and are a bit underrated as fans, but I'm biased. ;)
Guess the grass is truly greener... and I bet now he wishes he never said this.

But Johnson placed an indirect challenge to Yankee fans: either be with him, or against him. When he pitched for the Arizona Diamondbacks, Johnson said, the home-team fans got him going. That has not always been the case at Yankee Stadium this season, he said.

"When I'm pitching, the crowd, and I don't mean this in a disrespectful way, but in games that I've pitched in Arizona, the crowd was really more animated on the days that I pitched than probably any other day that I would witness," Johnson said. "And I really fed off of that.

"At times this year, I felt that with the Yankee crowd. But I think as a visiting player, I felt more hostility, and I fed off of that. And so, if they want to boo me, then boo me, or cheer me, but do something, because I feed off that, and I have pretty much my whole career."

How about them Halos!!!

ARod has to be the biggest clown in baseball history. Bush league ballslap last year and a beautifully timed DP while batting sub-Mendoza with 0 RBIs this year.

Great job by the Angels. Didn't look good when Colon went out. I liked the Angels to make the Series, but I lean towards the White Sox now. They were impressive against Boston and are perfectly rested and have their rotation all set up.
