Hello? Hello?????

It's weird all right. If baseball keeps going like this fans of more than about five teams might have realistic hopes of going all the way when the season starts. Crazy. Hell, even someone like Brewers might make it. Nah.....

I repeat from another board, the White Sox have the same "look" if you will that the 2001 Dbacks had. Their body language, a confidence that says "We know that we are going to will this thing, no matter what".
In some ways, I would like Biggio/Bagwell to get a ring, but I despise Clemens and don't think much of Pettitt, so that's a real toss up. OTOH, my husband used to work with Paul Konerko's dad before he retired from the mining industry to manage Paul's career.
If the Sox keep playing the way they have so far-, i.e. putting enough pressure on the Astros that they start to crumble fairly easily, this thing will be over soon.

Was sitting there watching the bases fill with Sox, and said irritably to my extremely restless and whining dogs, "Alright! But Konerko will probably hit a Grand Slam the minute I let you outside!" - I love when that happens. Thank heavens for replays or I'd never see anything.

As anticipated - GREAT baseball.

These are very hard-fought, close games, so it's far from over, but Sox are looking pretty strong. Don't you love Guillen's gestures and body language? Wouldn't that be nice to see in our dugout? Sigh.

UGH - White Sox win it in 14, 7-5. :|

Great game though. First World Series game ever played in Texas and it goes down as the longest World Series games ever.

Is it true that there are three and a half minutes of commercials between each half inning?

1-0 Sox.

I wonder if Gas Can Lidge will ever be the same? What a choke artist.

Everything break for the last month has gone the Sox way (Grafanino error, blown calls vs. Angels and 'Stros, Colon injury, etc.) so I doubt there's any way they don't finish these horrid playoffs off tonight.

ITS OFFICIAL-

Back to back lousy World Series'

:lame:

i dont know.

This years WS had really close games all the way through.

Its just that Houston could not win a close game and the chocked every single time.

Your right, the games this year were definitly good. Chicago was just able to come out ahead in each.

4-0 is still 4-0 though.

A short WS is always a disappointment - these games were so hard-fought and well-played, a couple more would have been great. But - CWS got 'er done! Hats off to GM Kenny Williams, and Ozzie Guillen has definitely got the right touch.

Congrats to the White Sox. The Astros needed Steve Bartman in the 9th inning.

By the way, Kenny Williams' son plays baseball for the UofA and he will competing for a starting outfield position this upcoming year.

OT: best game i have ever been at

Game 2 of the World Series.I'm also a lifelong Sox fan and there was nothing like it.Konerko's slam and Podsednik's walk off can't be beat.I told the people i was there with that there can only be one thing that can compare to it and that is seeing the Cardinals win the Super Bowl. I know one thing,if the Cards get there,i'll be there.Hopefully it happens soon.

Don't ask me why I just thought of this...but

How good was Lyle Lovett's "God Bless America" durring the stretch in Game 4!!!

I thought it was the best I've heard.
