I'd love to have him on this team..Bonifacio is not all that great of a prospect imo and not worth losing the chance to get Bay. We can worry about 2nd base when the time comes...hell, Augie can take the spot for half the year if we can't find one in the off-season and the offense will still be better than it has been the last two seasons.

Of course, I still don't have a problem with keeping Bonifacio and getting Bonds. :)

An option, which I don't want to see done, is to trade the soon to be free agent Hudson. Ojeda could take over at 2B. I would rather the D-backs come to their senses and lock O-dog up for the next five years, but I have a feeling they wouldn't do that since he is one of my favorite players (Valverde was, too, and look what happened).
Getting a LF would be a temporary fix, Byrnes should be 100% next season. All the more reason to sign Baaaarrrrrrry...

please do not give up bonifacio in any trade. he is a legit lead off man and a 2nd baseman of the future. plus he is so versatile. you can throw him in the outfield when needed.

Right now I hope they get some pitching help. I think they will be okay with Jackson in left and Tracy at first. Chad looks like he is getting more comfortable and I see he hit a homer off the lefty Hamels today.

Hopefully Snyder will be 100% healthy so the offense will better with him than Hammock or Montero in the line-up. The defense is much better with Snyder in there also.

I think the big question will be if Young and Upton can produce. Justin actually had a six-game hitting streak before getting hurt. I don't know what has happened to Young but I hope he can get it going because they need his bat and his speed on the bases.

The problem right now is the middle relief. I have no confidence in Qualls and Pena. This team needs Cruz to be healthy and be able to pitch in the 8th inning. I don't think Rosales and Robertson are the answers for pitching in the 6th and 7th innings. It will be interesting to see if Scherzer will be called up when he is completely healthy.

Both Tracy and Jackson are getting comfortable at their new/recent positions. Is Upton just going through the dreaded sophomore jinx/slump? Is Young going through it, too (this is his third year, however)? This is where a hitting coach should really work hard with these two.
Ready? They ARE young players (espeically Chris, get it? :p ) but that excuse has worn itself out. How much patience does everyone have? Melvin has a lot, apparently.

Middle relief has either been very good or very bad. Once Cruz is back, it will be better, but he's not perfect, either. The D-backs have this legacy of problems with middle relief. I complain about it almost every year.

Is there a team selling a SP, OF/cleanup hitter, and RP?

COL - Holliday, Fuentes, Hawpe
CIN - Dunn/Griffey, Arroyo, Weathers
KC - Greinke, Guillen, Mahay
SEA - Bedard, Beltre
OAK - Blanton, Street, Cust

These are guys that have at one time been mentioned as being on the block.
