Looking forward to getting this season started! Wish the Dbacks would have added another big bat during the offseason, Ive got a bad feeling that this team is gonna really struggle to put runs on the board (again).

Its going to be pretty tough for the D'backs to win the West this year I think, especially if Manny goes back to LA. We're going to need to see our young guys really improve since we didn't bring anyone in.

Im excited to check out some games at Goodyear Ballpark and Camelback Ranch this year, though I doubt they'll be able to eclipse Scottsdale Stadium and Phoenix Muni as the gems of the Cactus League.

Dbacks take on the Indians today on the road at their new ballpark. Haren is on the mound.

I'm not terribly certain that score updates on Spring Training games are necessary.

I went out to the game today, geez, what a freakin' drive. The stadium is pretty nice, though fairly middle of the pack as far as Cactus League stadiums go. The location is just horrendous, with nothing useful around for miles, the only thing with in eye site is a lightly used airfield and a sprawl development of (likely foreclosed upon) stucco and tile roof monstrosities. For some reason they found it necessary to charge $5 for the privilege of parking my car in a dusty lot, after I had burnt a quarter tank of gas just getting there. I think if Goodyear expects to have good attendance, they've got to get rid of the parking fees, its just too much. Anyway, I took a bunch of pictures, Ill post some later.

I happen to disagree. Of course, I also happen to live about 2 miles from the stadium (in one of those "stucco and tile roof monstrosities"). :)

i agree neighbor

and how dare a stadium charge for parking - i think surprise is the exception to this rule

also this is the first week - infrastructure will even out - right now it's still an active construction site as they expand bullard and build the reds clubhouse/training facility
