Ok since the other draft thread is 68 pages now I figured we could use a Draft Day Thread. The draft preview starts in 1 hour from now (7pm EST) and the actually draft starts 30 minutes from then.

Lets all enjoy what may be the weakest draft in decades and if you dare, play the "NBA Draft Drinking Game!" Drink any time an announcer says "Length", "good motor", "intangibles", or "upside potential", be sure to have Poison Control on speed dial, because you'll need your stomach pumped after Pick 3! If you somehow manage to stay alive, take 3 drinks if Jimmer falls to Utah, take 5 if they drive everyone in SLC crazy and pass on him!

Any new draft news, picks, etc can be posted here. I'll edit this top post with who gets picked where, any big trades, etc. I'll keep it up for as long as I can, my girlfriend is coming home late from work tonight so I should be able to go through the draft, or at least through when the Suns pick. If it trails off its because she's come home and commandeered the computer.

If we really want to get drunk, let's drink every time we here the word "potential".

Well, after Wallace, Charlotte unloaded captain Jack too. Makes sense because they're in full rebuild mode, it's just that they've picked a lousy year to be in it since the draft is called weak. But atleast they are determined to start over, which makes them one step ahead of the Suns right now.

I don't know why the Kings agreed to that deal though.

Also I'd like to thank the OP for covering everything in this one thread ... Since I don't have a way to follow the draft tonight it's really neat to have all the picks/trades in one place to check out :)

Interesting that on draft day, some mocks have been updated to have the Suns taking players not rumored before. NBADraft.net now has the Suns taking SG Alec Burks while DraftExpress has them taking SF Kawhi Leonard, whom they haven't even worked out.

No problem, I'm happy to do it and I'll keep it up as long as I can. If I can't do it after a while hopefully a Mod can edit my OP and keep updating that 1st post.

ESPN Chad Ford in an updated Mock 7.2 version done late today has the Kings who are now drafting #10 (after their trade) taking Jimmer Fredette.
He has the Suns taking PF Markieff Morris, earlier he had us taking his brother Marcus but now says that the Suns favor Markieff. He says that Iman Shumpert is also strongly in the mix here.

Kings now move down three spots and still probably will get Kemba/Fredette...

I really hope the Suns stay away from the Morris brothers. I don't know why, but I have a bad feeling about choosing one of them.

Players I really don't want: Klay Thompson, Jordan Hamilton, Tobias Harris, Markieff Morris, Marcus Morris, Marshon Brooks.

I also don't think the Suns should reach for Shumpert with the #13 pick, although it wouldn't be as big a reach as a week ago now that he's projected to go in the first round.

I may take that back... Charlotte now has the #7 and #9 picks in the draft..

bad news though for the Suns, I think it is even less likely TT falls now...

I have never seen them play so I have no opinion just what I read.

Yes me too, and according to that, I gathered an image that they play best when together, and when going solo it's a big questionmark on how much of their gameplay will be affected without the other brother nearby.

Also, suns have a bad habit of getting the lesser of two brothers.

Better than "Jimmer" - you might get alcohol poisoning if you drank every time they mention Fredette. LOL
