A Brewer fan just told me: Hey, are you one of the 3 or 4 Dbacks' fans? You guys can't even sellout games 3 and 4?"

I responded "we were the ones booing the Brewers at the All Star Game."

He seemed sad about my response.

Is that true? Dbacks can't sellout games 3 and 4. ISn't that kind of sad? What is this Atlanta?

Tickets are selling at a good pace, according to the club. However, the game times haven't been announced yet. I think people are waiting to see if the games are at reasonable times. If we get day games again, lots of folks may not be able to go.

Milwaukee seems all pumped up about it. My sister said they had a huge rally yesterday for them. But when this is your playoff history:

YEAR OPPONENT PLAYOFF RECORD
---- -------- ------- ------
2008 Philadelphia Phillies NLDS 1-3

1982* California Angels ALCS 3-2
St. Louis Cardinals World Series 3-4

1981* New York Yankees ALDS 2-3

ALDS: 2-3
ALCS: 3-2
NLDS: 1-3
World Series: 3-4

* - As a member of the American League

Once since the early 80's, you get excited

Have you guys ever been to Milwaukee? It makes Fresno look like Malibu. Ofcourse their games sold out faster, the Brewers and Packers are ALL that city has, and they dont even really have the Packers.

All Brewer fans have is "attendance smack" because they haven't paid attention to baseball for 30 years so they cant actually talk baseball. Look around the internet, that's ALL they've got. Nothing about their lineup vs our lineup, our pitching vs their pitching, not one baseball discussion just "Haha nobody goes to dbacks games!"

Weak, not even worth responding to. It doesn't affect me in the least, I go to tons of games, what more can I do? I bear no shame for other peoples' lack of interest in baseball.

Wait, when did the Brewers become an NL team? It's been so long since they were relevant in the NL, I can't be bothered to go back and look at their history. Can we send them back to the junior circuit?

Sorry for thread title: I meant 2011. Mods please fix.

Ya, not worth responding. I was surprised a Brewer fan was so cocky.

Who will throw out the first pitch tomorrow? Laverne or Shirley?
:biglaugh:

Saw this on facebook, thought it was funny even though it's also not baseball related smack talk.

Milwaukee is so bad, the Packers would rather freeze their asses off in Lambeau than relocate to the city.

Look into the future: 2050
Lambeau field is falling apart, fans are injured by falling debris and pieces of the scoreboard. Repairs will cost the team 3x what a new stadium would cost.

Milwaukee Mayor to Packers Ownership: "Seriously you guys, come one we'll build you a brand new state of the art stadium in downtown Milwaukee with 100% tax money, wont cost you a cent."

Packers owners and players: "Nah, we're good, thanks tho. We just got new shovels! It just needs a coat of paint and we just bought all this duck tape.."

Hey Mulli,

Give your buddy these stats.

Atttendance since 1998

Dbacks
Total attendance 36,109,901
Average Attendance per game 31,843

Brewers
Total attendance 32,999,563
Average Attendance per game 29,119

So not only is their "Attendance smack" freaking weak, but it's also incorrect.

We bought our tickets right away. Hope it's not a day game.

Glad their is no conflict with the Cardinals (NFL) also.

We got ours too..was hoping it would be Saturday but fingers crossed we don't get a day game. I have meetings most of the day and can't break away.

My nephew is a scout for the Brewers...some nice family yack going on right now. He and his wife are in Milwaukee now for games 1 and 2..flew up from LA tonight.

Brewers? Miller Park? I'm surprised anyone remembers how many people were at the game or even if they were at the game.

The Brewer fan smack about the Diamondbacks attendance is pretty weak. The only reason Miller Park sold out is because the Milwaukee fans had to buy an extra seat, just like they do with the airlines.

You ain't kidding.. 90% of the Brewers fans at the game were fat as ..yea.

Reading Brewers fans saying "We're going to take over Chase" was hilarious too. There was a small amount of them. Which is funny considering the amount of Packers fans they have..talk about a mass bandwagon.
