Back in 2012 the Cardinals went into Foxboro huge underdogs. They had Kevin Kolb as their QB. Nobody gave the Cardinals a chance to win against a superior team.

Yet somehow the Cardinals clung to a 2 point lead late in the 4th quarter. The Patriots still had a last second chance at a field goal to win it. However Stephen Gostkowski missed his 42 yard field goal wide left and the Cardinals escaped with a 2 point win.

The Patriots went on to have a 12-4 record that season and lost in the AFC Championship game.

Kind of crazy how similar that meeting in Foxboro was to the outcome last weekend with the roles just flipped.

I bumped the recap from that 2012 game earlier in the week. There's a lot of symmetry amongst the two, including how early in the year each game was.

My hope is that the team is now self-aware of its weaknesses and can correct them.
