I'll try to keep a running updated list of the flurry of trades that are sure to go down today so we have a central location instead of 10 different threads. Obviously, any Suns trade deserves it's own thread. If something is reported as a done deal then post it and I'll update this post.

Philadelphia sends Jrue Holiday and the 42nd pick to New Orleans for Nerlens Noel and a protected 2014 1st rounder.

Minnesota trades Trey Burke to Utah for #14 and #21.

Boston sends the 16th pick and two future 2nd rounders to Dallas for the 13th pick.

Dallas sends the 16th pick and Jared Cunningham to Atlanta for the 18th and 44th pick.

Nets are talking trade with Boston in which they'll send 3 first round picks to Boston for the opportunity to give KG & Pierce a nice retirement home in Brooklyn.

I thought this was for coaching postions in Brooklyn, not to play in Brooklyn. :D

Williams
JJ
Pierce
KG
Lopez

is a pretty damn good starting 5.

If the Bulls land Aldridge, Miami will have a VERY tough time getting through the East...and that doesn't even take the Pacers into account.

They'll completely destroy their future though. The picks would be 2014, 2016 and 2018. The 2016 and 2018 picks look to be pretty good because KG and Pierce both will be either retired or have one foot out the door.

true...but they're basically the JJ Atlanta Hawks right now... looking at 50 and fade every single year while being pretty capped out. Those picks in 20s likely aren't going to help them move from where they are. They're basically the Atlanta Hawks right now. that does nothing for the present or future, so if they've got a shot to try and go for it for two years, i feel like it would be a pretty good move to do it.

Yup and Pat might have to move Bosh for a real PF is those of these go through. Of course, I have my doubts about the Bulls trade since they tease me every year. I swear Reinsdorf must asked for a BJ from the other owner in order for the trade to go through. There have been sereral that were reported as close and fall a part for some reason.

This trade does not make sense if I were a Nets fan. Maybe their FO feels their roster is is full of role players and want to dump it for some name players even be they are aged. If I were Boston I would love this trade.

On a separate note, what the Nets pay Joe Johnson and Deron Williams is ridiculous.

If Joe Johnson didn't want to be a third wheel with the Suns, how is he going to feel about being a fifth wheel with the Nets?

considering he's signed for 5 years, it doesn't really matter.

plus, he's never had that kind of playoff success like he did when he left the Suns. he'd probably like to be an actual contender somewhere buried deep within his heart literally probably made with gold.

why does it not make sense for a nets fan? that team is stuck in playoff pretender purgatory. this could be the move that puts them into contender mode.

That's a hell of a starting lineup 3-5 years ago. Next year though? How many of those guys can play 60 or more games?

Plus their bench would be pretty shallow, though it sounds like Terry will be in the deal too.

Talk about coming out of nowhere...

Chad Ford @chadfordinsider now
Hearing Suns are offering Cavs 5 & 30 for 1. Not yet known how Cavs view the offer. Suns after Noel.

And then from NBADraft.net:

NBADraft.net @nbadraftnet

We're hearing from league sources that Nerlens Noel's knee was red flagged by Suns. There's speculation that he could slip out of top 10.

If they are willing to sell their soul to make a playoff run so be it. To me the Nets keep trying to throw mud against the wall and hope it sticks. Long term this will lead to their demise. I think it is the Lebron method of building a team gone wrong.

they've already sold their soul with those huge deals they put out. the only thing they can do at this point is try to go for it all for a couple years.

I'm not sure that's mud but I know what you mean. I can't think of a deal out there that would sour me more if I were a Nets fan.

No the pick would be #22, #26 (which BKN will acquire for Brooks) and 2015 first round pick which won't have much value.

That's gonna be the most expensive starting 5 in NBA history. Williams, JJ and Lopez are all on max deals.

D Will $20 mil
JJ $20 mil
Lopez $15 mil

Pierce $15 mil
KG $11 mil

That's a whooping $81 mil for their starting 5...WOW the Russian better get ready to pay some hefty luxury tax fines!
