Mathews is already outshining Garappolo with his arm and downfield accuracy so I disagree. I was totally on Mathews at the begining of the season, but man did he have an awful year though it seems to be due to losing a pretty good head coach. Smart, big, athletic and has a canon for an arm with good downfield accuracy. This is the type of QB you draft and develop because his issues all seem correctable. Better talent than Sean Renfree last year and is not coming off an injury, but his mechanics are not nearly as refined.

People will also have an opportunity to see the guy I consider to be a Roger Staubach Clone , the NIU QB Jordan Lynch . He will play on the East squad with Garappolo , I hope very much that Lynch is wearing a Az.Cardinal uni. in 2014 .

Lynch is more Tebow than Staubach IMO Jim. I want no part of him and I think this week will expose his flaws as a QB. Good athlete, but not a good QB IMO.

I jsut texted my scout buddy and told him if he sees any Cards personnel, that I'm available.

He texted me back that he was standing right next to Cards scout, that they have my info.

I expect a call any minute :D.

When did they start calling when they issue restraining orders? ;)

Keep an eye on this guy, John Urschel (G), Penn State. Not pretty but effective. Apparently pretty smart too. Graduated in 3 years with a mathematics degree.

Keep an eye on Jordan Najvar, TE out of Baylor... I believe he is playing 1) he is a solid TE 2) he is my best friend's nephew :)

When is the East West Shrine game? It's the week before the Super Bowl right?

From the link I provided.

The East-West Shrine Game is set to be held at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla. on Saturday, Jan. 18 at 4 p.m. ET. This is the fourth consecutive year that NFL Network (complete broadcast schedule) provides exclusive coverage of the East-West Shrine Game -- the longest-running all-star college football game.

Wow you beat me too it. Great minds think alike. :D

He caught my eye during warmups at the Fiesta bowl. Big kid with what appeared to be nice hands.

I'm interested to see how NAU RB Baumann performs against the big boys!!! I saw him play on TV about 3-4 times & I came away VERY impressed with his skills. He's in the Cards backyard...so you never know ;)

Actually I don't know much about him other than he stood out to me during the Fiesta bowl warmups.

Then did nothing in the game :D It's all about those bear WRs IMO.

If this is tempted to draft a Baylor skill player, they better draft Tevin Reese in rds 5-7...this kid can absolute FLY & is a big play waiting to happen much like TY Hilton.

There is a lot of speed at Baylor now, they have become the Texas haven for track stars too :)

I think he will show how a lot of folks got sidetracked by all that rushing yardage he put up . I'm convinced that he can throw the football , and has a QB future in the NFL , I hope it's with the Cardinals .
