Cards finished 3rd in the Division. In addition to our Division games, here's our opponents for 2014:

We host Philadelphia, Washington, Kansas City, San Diego and Detroit. Cardinals travel to Dallas, the New York Giants, Denver, Oakland and Atlanta.

Would have loved to see our D vs. Manning in this year's SB. Have to wait until next year.

i am now a believer in this:

its not so much who you play, but when you play them

not only does the NFL change year to year -- it changes month to month

Hopefully the league doesn't stick it to us again in 2014.

This season we started on the road (AGAIN) and had to play San Francisco and Seattle on a Sun/Thurs, leaving only 3 days between the games. UGH. Brutal.

Does anyone know why we play Atlanta and not Tampa Bay? Atlanta is picking before Tampa Bay, so didn't they therefore finish 4th in the NFC South? Weird.

I suspect we get to host at least 1 SNF and/or MNF game. Prob will play TNF on the road, but maybe not since that would be against SF if the current pattern holds. They aren't hosting any primetime games in their new digs next year.

Hope we get Dallas in December.

SF vs AZ for SNF game and ARZ vs KC for Thursday night game are my predictions.

Interesting question - this is courtesy of the Bucs webpage

The Buccaneers actually finished in a tie with Atlanta in the NFC South standings, but the applied tiebreakers gave the third-place spot to the Falcons. Atlanta and Tampa Bay split the head-to-head series and had identical records within the division and in common games. The fourth tiebreaker used in divisional standings is conference record, and there the Falcons come out on top with a 3-9 mark to the Buccaneers' 2-10. It might seem unusual to some that the Buccaneers finished below the Falcons in the standings but will pick after Atlanta in the draft, but that's because ties are broken differently in determining draft order. The draft simply uses strength-of-schedule to sort between teams with identical records.

Thursday night games were primarily intra division games this year. With teams having less time to prepare, it makes sense to give them a familiar opponent. There have been exceptions, like KC playing Philly, but they were familiar because of Andy Reid. So I would guess that the SF vs AZ game is more likely for a Thursday night but you never know.

The Thursday night games are usually a good team vs a bad team or two bad teams. SF vs AZ is too good of a game for TNF. I predict we get the Rams on a Thursday.

Denver, Philly, KC, SF, SEA, and maybe Dallas are all candidates for primetime games (ESPN & NBC) IMO.

Atlanta has a slightly better conference record than Tampa hence Tampa finishes in last.
