I think you're both wrong. They're really injured. Occam's Razor. I heard Warren tweaked his back in practice.

I know SweetD said there could be a trade but I don't think anyone believes that is the case. There's a chance but I don't think it's likely with Warren since his scoring is so vital to this team right now. I think people are agreeing or thinking about it because trade talk is enticing. We don't have much else to look forward to right now.

Most moves McD has made haven't been rumored before hand. Whether it's about the Suns being after a certain player they ended up acquiring or trading off who or what they did. No one predicted the destination of the Suns being sent out either other than Dragic and that's because he gave a very short list of teams he'd resign with. Some wanted the Suns to deal with the Bucks but they didn't get who most thought they'd be after, Brogdan, and I don't think they were the favored destination for Bledsoe either.

DeAndre Jordan has apparently made his interest known in that he'd like to be traded to the Rockets. That's interesting based on the spat between the 2 teams just the other day. The Rockets may have enough to make that deal but who knows what the Clippers want or how Jordan would fit in D'Antoni's system, I think he'd be as good as Capela but I don't think he'd be as good offensively. He would help their defense a lot though.

This link has more info on that as well as info on the Magic possibily trading Fournier, Payton, and Mario Henzonja. The Mavericks are interested in Julius Randle from the Lakers, who is available for the right price. The Lakers also want to move Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr to free up capspace.

*Said Jordan wanted to go to the Clippers

Agreed. I doubt we'd do anything to slow Chriss' development, especially with him playing well lately. And, sadly, Warren has been anything but durable.

That will be one complicated trade...

But obviously you meant the Rockets. As much as I rag on Mike D... he has no use for bigs of Jordan's ilk. D'Andre would quickly find himself limited to B Squad playing time and completely benched in the 4th.

But I would find it hilarious to play out, similar to how it took Mike D 6 months to figure out Pau Gasol was a basketball player.

The G-League showcase just took place, which had reps from all teams meeting up for the last time before the trade deadline now that the deadline has been moved ahead of the All-Star break. I suspect we'll be hearing more trade rumors now that that's finished. That was a 4 day showcase where 26 games were played from January 10th through January 13th. Here is a link to view info about the showcase...

I've always liked Favors but I'm not sure how he'd fit with the Suns longterm. He's been pretty injury prone throughout his career also. I imagine we could top anything the Cavs offer but I'm not sure we'd want to. He'd help this year but I think it's too late to try and salvage this season. I hope the Cav's don't get him for Frye and Shumpert. They seem to think those 2 have real value around the league and will be able to add someone who will fill their needs. Tristan Thompson is available as well but he's on an awful contract and I doubt the Jazz would be interested in taking that on for Favors.

If the Suns have any interest in Favors, they should pursue him in free agency. He would probably need to play center for the Suns.

I'm surprised Chi is willing to trade Jerian Grant. Yeah I know Dunn is working out well for them but Grants stats are just as good. They do have six PGs on their roster so maybe they've got one out of sight they like better. As far as playing time, David Nwaba is third behind Dunn and Grant... he kind of and interesting piece - not too many assists but very low TOs and he is a terrific rebounder for a G.

We wouldn't want Grant right now because he'd likely win us some games but over the summer, if we don't draft one of the top PGs

Saw this article with a few different trade proposals. They mention that Miami may be looking to trade Whiteside, which seems odd given their record and the fact they don't have their own pick this year, however if they did that we could see that pick fall down into the 10-16 range. Riley's a smart GM and I don't see him trading away Whiteside without another plan in place. That could be to free up cap space this summer but I'm not sure who they'd target. I don't see Lebron being interested in returning there this summer if they dismantle their current team. Adding Lebron to their current team might make them better than the Cavs currently but not with Whiteside gone.

The Heat trading Whiteside should be a good thing for the Suns in this draft though. They might get some first round picks in return to restock.

I'm all for them trading Whiteside but I think it's wishful thinking by the writer of that article. Miami is a playoff team right now and considering what Whiteside brings to the table his contract isn't that bad. I think they'd trade Dragic before Whiteside if they're looking to clear cap space.

Dragic works. :)

Anything that weakens the Heat should be good for the Suns.

Nobody wants to be in the middle of the pack AND over the cap.

Suns are bad but I like what we have a lot better than I did when we were an 8th or 9th seed in cap Hell.

We have nothing desirable to package with Monroe for a deadline deal. Probably should have bought him out and saved a few bucks.

What's the asking price? Or is 27 too old for the "timeline" fantasy?
27 is not too old. I just have not looked into Kemba Walker enough to know if he is the guy. It would be very Suns-like to trade for Walker, and then draft Trae Young in June and have an uncomfortable glut of starting point guards again. We should only trade for a player like Walker if we are confident he is THE answer at that position going forward.

Just checked. Walker's deal ends in the summer of 2019. So, he could easily walk.
