Me too, but other than the Lakers (who might become desperate enough at trying to dump Clarkson and/or Deng as much that we could benefit) I can't think of any other team which might.

Not a big fan of Walker on this roster. He isn’t a great facilitator, not a good defender and not all that good of a 3 point shooter. The last is probably the biggest issue I have with him because we desperately need better 3 point shooting.

I suppose. I just really wince at taking on some other team's mistake contract. But the Kemba Walker situation is the type of situation we are talking about.

Charlotte is willing to part with its best player just to get out of bad contracts. Just horrible.

Its like the Lakers dumping DAR to get out of a bad contract. Better to sign no one than generate a bad contract. McD isn't perfect, but things could be a LOT worse.

If we are patient and the hornets can’t move walker in-season, he becomes the perfect post-season target (although I wish he were a more prolific three point shooter).

Waiting until seasons end allows us to continue to drop in the draft (hopefully). Post draft we would know if we acquired a big or a pg. if we landed doncic, young or Sexton then we wouldn’t trade for Kemba. If we landed ayton, bagley, porter, or bamba or JJJ then by all means trade a future 1st and either chriss or bender )the one the suns have less hope for) and take on a single Bad contract. Who knows, at that point Kemba will be on a one-year contract so Carolina might not even be able to demand a 1st and a young player.

All true, if suns trade in middle of this season and sacrifice draft position it will be an all time horrible move and scrapping of the plan they've been working on for 2 years.

That's a non-starter. If Gambo were smart, I could hypothesize that what he was really saying was that acquiring Walker would threaten to move the Suns' pick out of the top five even if they kept it, so they would be "giving up" a top-five pick in that sense. But since he isn't smart, I'm sure he was just talking out of his Trump as usual.

The thing I worry about with Gambo, he often reflects the Suns thinking because of his link to Sarver.

I'm not liking the Walker trade idea at least until after the draft and then I would want his contract extended before the trade if that is possible.

At some point, you have to go all in. You could argue that this is the year to start that if it weren't for next year's class. However, next year I think they should be aggressive towards building a winning team, which would include going after the Kemba Walkers of the world.

This thinking is flawed as you point out. The Suns can't trade for Walker and expect a top five pick.
