Also Scott Bordow about the possibility of the Suns making a trade before the trade deadline in a Q&A session on twitter.

I think that's possible but I wouldn't expect anything major. Monroe, maybe. Daniels, if Reed is ready to contribute. Don't see them trading any of their young players

Scott Bordow on the likelihood of the Suns trading for Kemba Walker in a tweet to questioners.
I just really appreciate McD's commitment to avoid bad contracts. Its not about saving money, its about maintaining flexibility and not getting yourself in a bind. You can undo a whole lot of tanking benefit with one bad deal.

Cavs definitely have asked about @TeamLou23, as @TheSteinLine reported. But told this week that talks so far have stalled on Clips’ request 4 Brooklyn pick.
Good for LAC, don't settle for CLE garbage. I bet Thompson would be chomping at the bit to end up in LA with his baby momma. CLE is going to have to accept that they aren't going to get what they need to win another title unless they come off the BKY pick, simple as that. A third team isn't going to help either, no one is going to want Thompson's contract or the headcase that is Smith.

I read that Gilbert will not trade that pick under any circumstances.
If I was him I wouldn't trade it either. Its all they've got to start the rebuild after LBJ leaves this summer.

Oh man I'd love to get Kawhi, but it's probably a pipe dream. Would a TJ Warren, Chriss/Bender, Miami pick + Bucks pick get it done? Probably not, even if we took back whatever bad contracts they'd want to shed.

I don't believe it. His recovery isn't going as fast. That doesn't mean discord. Clickbait.

It's not going to happen, but man would I love to see Leonard and Booker together in Phoenix!

It may be clickbait but Leonard is injured, the Suns have the pieces to trade and they are not looking for someone to start this season.

However, I'm sure the Spurs want more than the Suns are willing to trade.

If the Suns had Leonard, would you trade him? That's how I look at trade speculation. The answer is no. Think about what the Suns would want for Booker, and then consider that Leonard is a much better player. Leonard is not going anywhere.

There is no trade that would get him here that did not include Booker. And even if Booker was on the table, I doubt it. The only way it is remotely a possibility is if Kahwai demanded a trade. But that is not his personality and if I was the Spurs I would just say no.

And the Spurs will likely say no unless Leonard is pushing to get traded and then they probably say no anyway.

There are going to be some head-scratching trades at this deadline. It costs A LOT to dump salaries these days. Kemba is going to go for cheap somewhere, and the salary they dump is going to be a lot less than what many think. Here are the reasons.

1. Charlotte is over the luxury tax, so getting the money off the books is a double whammy for them.
2. Kemba is a FA in the summer of 2019, so if he doesn't give some team REALLY good vibes about wanting to be there, he will be a huge risk. He will play out his deal and leave. No team with cap room to spare wants to give it up for that.
3. Charlotte has some really bad contracts. Batum is darn near untradeable for almost any cost. Marvin Williams and Cody Zeller aren't so hot either. Honestly, if Charlotte can get back a big expiring this year for Kemba and Howard along with an asset, they might take it.

I am not proposing a Suns trade here, not sure they would be interested. This is just where I believe Charlotte is in this situation.
