I saw him being really close to the qb in couple of situation but drew purdy has quick release and seems to have the eyes on his back

Sadly, that almost never happens without significant PED use post-puberty. He's young though, so he may still have a chance.
Eh he really just has to rework his body. He's only 20, so he's still in the filling out phase of his life. Byron Young the Rams rookie pass rusher is 25?!? Give Ojulari some time, he should be able to make some serious gains.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm certain LSU has a professional-level conditioning program, but he was injured throughout the offseason and training to be a college edge player + make speed thresholds at the Combine.

I expect him to fill out some this offseason, but his lack of aggression or impact in the pass rush is... a concern. He seems more like the Daryl Washington guided-missile type thus far.

I hate to break it to everyone, but lean 6'2 250lb guys don't just "fill out." He can get stronger at the same weight, but again, unless you're going into serious PED usage he's not going to put on a lot of muscle.

The good news? This is the NFL and steroid usage is commonplace at those positions.

Agree. However he will acquire some strength naturally as he matures. At 20 years old he still has a long way to go before he peaks.

He's gonna fill out nicely with "a year of NFL training under his belt" ;)

I heard Chandler has been hanging around the facility. He can probably give you some advice on how to fly under the radar and not get caught.

Ojulari’s attention is solely on progressing as a player.

“I’m expecting to take a big leap. . . . I just want to be the best all-around player I can be,” Ojulari said, via the team’s website. “Sacks are what get guys accolades and what gets guys paid, but it’s also good to be all-around and not just one-dimensional. Switch it up. Go power, go speed, drop in coverage, so they can’t just put one label on you and offenses don’t know what you are doing.”

Ojulari believes that “your play is going to talk for you, no matter what number you’re wearing” and the Cardinals defense will be a much tougher unit to play against if his play says that he’s reached new heights on the field.

Pulling for you BJ Ojulari!

Got you some help on the Dline so you'll have a chance to make it happen this year! Let's go!
Agree 100%. I think that Ojulari & Garrett Williams make the largest jump in year 2. And just being injury free and having a full offseason will contribute mightily to that.

Are you saying that you believe that Beej was somehow getting extra attention as a pass rusher last year?

Not really, but neither did Ojulari's teammates themselves cause much havoc, for example moving the opposing QB off his spot. Save for their battle with Ojulari, opposing offensive lineman matched up against BJ always knew where their QB was, safe and sound in the pocket.

You were epically wrong on Washington.

Washington was a phenomenal player once he hit his stride and then was taken out by his own stupidity.

He wasn't great immediately and that should teach you to have patience with young players.
