Nope he could actually coach the kids that are there instead of pushing kids out that the university gave scholarships to.
What? He basically told them they had to step up their game if they wanted to stick around. If guys couldn’t hack it or didn’t want that pressure, that is on them.

Some yes, others they told they didn't want at all. Just really cut throat. I'm going to enjoy watching them get plastered next week by USC, getting exposed as the frauds that they are.

IN the past I'd agree but in the era of NIL and transfer portal I respected that he was honest with them.

I don't know if he can coach or not but in an era when players transfer all the time I'm not going to get mad at a coach telling them you should probably transfer.

If he wins doing it, players will want to come play at Colorado, if they don't win, he won't get the players. But I will say they were one of the few teams that was getting transfers based on the coach and not on NIL.

I think its safe to say the Caleb vs Drake debate is on life support.
It also means we most likely won't get MHJ either.

I would imagine the Bears will be getting both - Caleb and MHJ.

Which is fine man. Because what I keep trying to tell everybody is it's easier to go from seven wins to ten wins, than to go from two wins to ten wins.

In the 2024 draft, there will be one or two elite players available at picks 4-32 in 2024, the world just doesn't know who they are yet because we haven't seen them play in the NFL.

More important that getting a "can't miss" fool proof pick in the top there is being able to identify difference makers from 4 -32, and in subsequent rounds. That your scouting department knows what the F it's doing.
That's how you get to eleven wins a year and stay there for a while.

I love Caleb but he was really not that good against ASU. Had 3 balls that should have been picked and they were all completely his fault.

Maye has not been overly impressive this year either. The best case scenario for us right now is Kyler comes back, plays well and we use the 2 picks ourselves either to pick players at other positions, or trade for more picks to someone who wants a QB.

Caleb and MJH on the Bears would be an epic fail, unfortunately.

They are overhyped for sure. That was evident in the Oregon game. The USC game will likely be no different. That said, they already have more wins than last year. How are they fraudulent.

The talk that they are actually a competitive team? I think they lose to USC, Oregon State, Washington State, and Washington.

Wasn't their Vegas over/under this year 2.5 or 3.5 wins? I think the fact they're (seemingly) headed toward bowl eligibility shows far more competitiveness than was anticipated.

Maybe. It is tough for me to blame a team or coach for media hype. Coach Prime has used pride and hard work and disrespect as the rallying cry for his team this season. Lots of coaches do because it can work. Prime has resources other coaches don't and why wouldn't he use them? I understand thinking this team is grossly overhyped. I do. But again, I don't see why that is something to hold against the HC.

The draft strategy for the Cardinals gets a little more interesting when removing a QB and MHJ from the convo.
Build the trenches? I know there are a few good OT prospects. Not sure what DL or pass rushers offer after Verse. Need to watch some of Kool-Aid as well.

Whats the history of teams going back to back OT in the 1st round?

I'd be down for it, but its kinda rare isnt it?

Rounding out top 10 draft options outside of QB and MHJ...

Olu Fashanu - OT

Jer'Zhan Newton - DT

Jared Verse - EDGE

Emeka Egbuka - WR

Rome Odunze - WR

Joe Alt - OT

Dallas Turner - EDGE

Kool-Aid McKinstry - CB

that is probably my list for now. I haven't seen all of the guys yet. I have not got into the LSU guys yet. FYI. Also haven't jumped into many of the CBs.

Biased, but I know someone on the LSU coaching staff (havent really kept up with the team though tbh). However, raves that this guy is going to be another LSU wr to be a great pro.

As it stands now, the Cards could use a CB, ILB, IDL, on defense, and WR, RB, and IOL on offense. Lots of positional options for next year's draft. Picking a cornerback, wide receiver or defensive lineman in round one would make sense.

I have heard some similar things, just haven't gotten to him yet.
