Maybe we should trade up and acquire a second 2nd round pick. As it is, we're scheduled to pick 11 players and I doubt we keep all of them.
Agree. The Offfense-heavy 1st round (23 picks were on the Offense side of the ball) has pushed some 1st round D talent out of the first round and to the top of the 2nd. We could remake our DB room with two second-round picks (either Kool-Aid, Dejean, Rakestraw), add even more talent to the DT rotation with (Newton and Fiske).

We also need to add more to ST given the change in the Kick-off procedure.

It's fun to have a stack of poker chips on the table and the ability to go all-in.

I think the bills taking Mitchell makes sense and could see the pats taking Ladd. Even if both teams go defender one of newton/dejean/kool aid with be there when the cards pick so I’m pretty happy with our spot and I like the edge pick even more with how the board looks now.

I hope they get some kind of package together to move up into the middle of round 2. At 35 there are plenty of options. But if we get a 2nd 2 in a trade up, I just keep imagining a WR room with MHJ and Keon Coleman; a 2024 version of Fitz and Boldin.

The experts are saying that the two teams picking before us will probably go WR. I'm hoping for a CB, and if we go that way if your two top guys are available, who we think is better.

I mentioned this in another thread a few weeks back. Packaging one of our 5th's with one of our later 3rd's to move into the 2nd. Thus having two 2nd's and two 3rd's, along with our two 1st's is a very good spread.
As others have said, there are only so many picks you can keep on the 53

Oh. Thank you for explaining it to me.

Does it matter if we learn who the pick is from Twitter vs ESPN? I’m not trying to be a pain in the a$s I just don’t know why it matters.

It is a bit like someone spoiling a TV show or a movie.
