The Augusta National Women's Amateur is underway.
Stanford junior Megha Ganne had a stellar start, shooting a course-record 9-under 63 on Wednesday in the first round. She leads Lottie Woad, the defending champion, by two shots after the first 18 holes. Kiara Romero, Farah O'Keefe and Amanda Sambach are tied for third at 5 under and four behind Ganne.
On Thursday, players will compete in another 18-hole round before a cut is made to the top 30 and ties. Everyone will get to play Augusta National Golf Club on Friday in a practice round, but only those who make the cut get the weekend drive down Magnolia Lane.
