NFL Media's Chad Reuter released his latest five-round mock draft. In the first round, the Chargers address the defensive side of the ball, selecting Boston College edge defender Donovan Ezeiruaku with the No. 22 overall pick.

Khalil Mack is returning for a 12th season, but the Chargers need a polished, bendy edge rusher like Ezeiruaku to pair with Tuli Tuipulotu long-term.

In our latest seven-round mock draft, I have Los Angeles taking Ezeiruaku, as well. Even though Khalil Mack is back, it's only for one season and he isn't getting any younger. The edge defender room needs a bona fide speed pass rusher to complement Tuli Tuipulotu's power.

In the second round, the Bolts go offense with LSU tight end Mason Taylor. Despite the addition of Tyler Conklin, they still need to find a long-term option at the position. Taylor isn't going to offer much as a blocker, but he will be a reliable receiver, possessing the route-running skills and strong hands.

In the third round, the Chargers address the running back position with Georgia's Trevor Etienne, the brother of Jaguars RB Travis Etienne. Etienne is a good runner with plus vision and elusiveness. He can also have an impact in the passing game, as he has soft hands and blocks his tail off.

After going offense in back-to-back rounds, Los Angeles selects Nebraska defensive tackle Ty Robinson. The Bolts made some depth signings with Da'Shawn Hand and Naquan Jones in free agency, but they still need some pass-rush juice along the interior. Robinson is an athletic, tough and hard-nosed player that Jim Harbaugh would love to have on the team.

To round out Reuter's projections, the Chargers add Auburn wide receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith. The wideout room lacks a true vertical element to threaten opposing defenses, which Lambert-Smith would bring. He ran a 4.37 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine, and that speed jumps off when watching him.
