2025 NFL draft: ESPN's Field Yates projects multiple Buffalo Bills trades in latest mock

ESPN's NFL insider Field Yates has released his latest two-round mock ahead of the 2025 NFL draft... and boy is there a Buffalo Bills surprise (or two) in it.

Heading into the draft, the Bills hold three selections in the first two rounds. In Round 1, it's pick 30, and in the second Buffalo has picks 56 and 62.

That changes with a trade with a shocking partner: The New England Patriots.

That's just the start.

Then the Bills decide to make a trade up into the top of the second round in a deal with the New York Giants, who hold the No. 34 overall spot--the second pick in Round 2.

After all the wheeling and dealing, Buffalo still holds just three selections, all in Round 2. However, the Bills grab an extra third and fourth rounder from the Pats... and then deal the second of those to move up with the Giants.

Here's how ESPN's insider has the Bills in his latest 2025 mock draft:

Round 2, pick 34: Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan​

Yates' breakdown:

We just had the Bills slide down from No. 30 to No. 38, but they might be watching the board early on Day 2 and opt to hop back up a few picks to No. 34. To do so, I have them trading the No. 38 selection they just acquired in the trade with the Patriots and a fourth-rounder (No. 132) to the Giants, who would happily take an extra midround pick.

At 331 pounds, Grant would help fortify the Bills' run defense up the middle and assist in collapsing the pocket as an interior pass rusher. He had three sacks and 5.5 tackles for loss in 12 games last season.

Round 2, pick 56: JT Tuimoloau, Edge, Ohio State​

Yates' breakdown:

There are few players in this class whom I have more confidence in being ready to play as a rookie than Tuimoloau. His power and pass-rush savviness would improve Buffalo's front.

Round 2, pick 62: Jacob Parrish, CB, Kansas State​

Yates' breakdown:

Parrish is feisty in coverage and ran a 4.35-second 40 at the combine. That speed shows up all over his tape. Rasul Douglas is unsigned, and Buffalo traded Kaiir Elam. That means the cornerback depth chart is pretty open behind Christian Benford and Dane Jackson.
