It's finally here. The 2025 NFL draft will begin on Thursday night with the first round of selections -- for now, all 32 teams are expected to make a selection without any first-round trades having been agreed to. Yet. Of course that includes the New Orleans Saints, who are scheduled to make their pick at ninth overall. This year's draft is held in Green Bay with tens of thousands of fans in attendance.
The Saints could turn their fortunes around in a hurry. The team owns six picks in the first four rounds and four top-100 selections, including the ninth pick, a second rounder (No. 40), and two third-round selections (Nos. 71, 93). With that kind of ammo they can move up the board at almost any juncture, but we shouldn't rule out a trade down, either. This team needs young, cheap talent, and a lot of it.
