The Chicago Bears are gearing up for the start of the 2025 NFL draft, where they'll be welcoming some new rookies to the mix.
The Bears have seven total selections, including four in the Top 75 with the 10th overall pick and two high second-round selections. While Chicago has done a good job shoring up their biggest needs this offseason, there's still plenty of work to be done to address depth concerns and find potential upgrades.
It certainly gives the Bears more flexibility when it comes to those picks, as they can draft best available rather than for need, which is certainly the case in the latest two-round mock draft from ESPN's Mel Kiper.
Depending on how the board falls, the Bears could have several options at 10th overall. In this scenario, Will Campbell, Armand Membou and Ashton Jeanty are all off the board. While Chicago could opt to trade back, Ben Johnson will no doubt be looking to add playmakers on offense. Penn State's Tyler Warren is exactly that. While the Bears feel good about Cole Kmet, there's a lot that Johnson could do with the duo of Kmet and Warren, which will only help quarterback Caleb Williams.
While the Bears addressed the defensive line in free agency, which included the addition of Grady Jarrett, that doesn't mean they should stop adding bodies in the trenches. Walter Nolen would be a big addition to the defensive interior that includes Jarrett, Andrew Billings and Gervon Dexter Sr. Nolen is another disruptive interior defender who would elevate this Chicago pass rush.
Chicago has been linked to Ashton Jeanty throughout the pre-draft process, but he likely won't be there come No. 10. But this is a deep running back group where there will be options on Day 2, including with Ohio State's TreVeyon Henderson. The Bears have made it clear this offseason they're looking to add to the running back room, and Henderson would be a great pairing with D'Andre Swift.

Offseason moves to add interior offensive linemen Joe Thuney, Jonah Jackson and Drew Dalman should buy Caleb Williams more time to throw. Landing Warren would give the second-year quarterback another reliable target. New Bears coach Ben Johnson could line up Warren anywhere, get him the ball and let him roll to first downs after the catch. The versatile tight end had 1,233 receiving yards last season, and 700 of them came once the ball was in his hands.
Chicago got only 512 total yards out of its tight end room in 2024, but the combination of Warren and Cole Kmet could do some damage.
Round 2, Pick 39: Walter Nolen, DT, Ole Miss

Signing Grady Jarrett to join Gervon Dexter Sr. on the interior of the defensive line helps. But he's also turning 32 years old at the end of this month. In Nolen, the Bears could get another disruptive lineman who can get home on the quarterback. He had 6.5 sacks last season.
Round 2, Pick 41: TreVeyon Henderson, RB, Ohio State

One more finishing touch on the Bears' offense comes with their third pick in the top 41. Chicago struggled to establish the run last season, averaging 4.0 yards per carry (27th) with D'Andre Swift and Roschon Johnson. Henderson could take some pressure off Caleb Williams by picking up first downs on the ground. He rushed for 42 scores and averaged 6.4 yards per carry over four seasons at Ohio State.
