The Green Bay Packers came into 2024 with Super Bowl aspirations. Instead they were dealt a dose of reality, falling well short of their goals and expectations.
A season that was seemingly doomed from the start, Jordan Love saw it flash before his eyes against the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil, ultimately missing just two games with a knee injury. Their season was later ended by that same Eagles team, indicating just how much work the Packers have to do.
It's an interesting situation for Green Bay, considering they typically don't spend in free agency and instead choose to do their business in the draft.
Yet this offseason wasn't filled with marquee names in free agency or the draft, complicating matters for a team on the cusp of contention.
That means the Packers aren't just tasked with hosting the NFL draft party, but winning it as well. Teams only get so many cracks at climbing to the top of the mountain. With needs on both sides of the ball, the Packers will look to plug those spots in the hopes it all comes together for them in the fall.
Titletown will be the center of the NFL world for the draft. The Packers will hope their moves over the weekend will put it back on the map in February after Super Bowl 60.
