The first major of the year is next week, but there's one more tournament in Texas for players to get prepped for Augusta National.
The 2025 Valero Texas Open kicks off Thursday at TPC San Antonio. Akshay Bhatia is the defending champion, and he'll have to ward off a number of notables in the field this week, including Ludvig Aberg, Jordan Spieth, Hideki Matsuyama and more.
The purse at the Texas Open is $9.5 million, with $1.71 million going to the winner along with 500 FedEx Cup points.

The 15th event on the PGA Tour's 2025 schedule will be carried live on TV by Golf Channel (which you can watch for free on Fubo) all four days.
