Texas A&M's 2026 recruiting class gained another commitment in the cycle, as four-star wide receiver Mike Brown chose the Aggies over the Texas Longhorns, Alabama Crimson Tide, and Michigan Wolverines on Monday afternoon. Head coach Mike Elko and wide receiver coach Holmon Wiggins add another Top 50 wide receiver to the team to boost the offense.

Elko and his staff continue to bring in top in-state talent by adding their third receiver in the Aggies' 2026 cycle, and after speaking with On3, Brown sounds like he was impressed with the staff and will follow after his father Reggie Brown in becoming an Aggie.

“His coaching staff is top notch, pro-level. Coach (Holmon) Wiggins, the co-offensive coordinator/ wide receiver coach, shared some real knowledge. It was exciting to listen to; you can hear his passion."

While some may disagree, Texas A&M's football future is much better despite finishing 1-4 after starting 7-1 and 5-0 in SEC play last season. Any future improvement starts with recruiting elite talent. Wide receiver is a spot they are looking to build depth and become more dynamic for the future.

According to On3 Composite rankings, Brown is currently positioned as the 284th-ranked prospect in the cycle, the 46th-ranked Wide receiver, and the 35th-ranked prospect in Texas.
