Lomax to Green 84
Hall of Famer
Moch is the guy with the freaky 40 yard dash time, the proverbial workout warrior type. In this case, I actually think that label has worked against Moch as most list him as a 3rd round project. However, if you look at Moch's stats at Nevada, he is not just a workout warrior. Moch has produced every year during his tenure at Nevada.
The speed is what gets Moch attention by Draftniks, but it's his other measurables that seem to be getting the attention of NFL people. Moch goes around 6' 1" and weighed in at the combine at 248 pounds. I saw the replay of the Missouri/Nevada game on ESPNU Monday night and to me Moch looked a heck of a lot like James Harrison. The speed is obvious, but he really plays with a blue collar mentality. The lack of height appears to be a positive ala Harrison in that he uses it to gain leverage on his opponent.
I really liked the Pro Football Weekly analysis of Moch when they mention that he has an aggressive football mentality, a guy who plays all out. No mention at all about being just a workout warrior. Tuesday night I caught the Bill Parcells Draft Special and saw on Parcells board that he has Moch rated as a 2nd round guy. Both Mike Lombardi and Charlie Casserly said recently that Moch is in the discussion for teams in the early to mid 2nd round.
The game against Missouri sold me on Moch. He looks like he is shot out of a cannon when coming off the edge.
