The Philadelphia 76ers won't know their draft fate until the lottery on May 12 in terms of whether they will keep their top 6 pick or not. After finishing 24-58 and with the fifth-worst record in the league, they will have a 64% chance at keeping the pick on lottery night.

Per Tankathon, the Sixers have a 42.1% chance at moving into the top 4 of the draft and a 10.5% chance at getting the No. 1 pick. Therefore, there is a lot to look forward to on that fateful 12th night of May.

With that being said, if the Sixers do end up keeping their pick and they are in the 4-5-6 range, here are three options that make sense for them in that range:

Tre Johnson, Texas

2024-25 stats: 19.9 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 2.7 apg, 42.7% FG, 39.7% 3-FG

A freshman for the Longhorns, Johnson knows how to put the ball in the basket, and would be a nice addition to Philadelphia at the wing spots. Obviously, the Sixers have Quentin Grimes (who will be a restricted free agent), Lonnie Walker IV (team option), and Justin Edwards at that spot at the moment, but a team can never have too many wings in today's NBA. Johnson scores well on the move and is an efficient 3-point shooter. He is a guy who can take over games in the blink of an eye and would be able to complement Philadelphia's stars.

Derik Queen, Maryland

2024-25 stats: 16.5 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 1.9 apg, 1.1 bpg, 1.1 spg, 52.6% FG, 20% 3FG

Queen had a terrific tournament run to lead the Terrapins to the Sweet 16 as he showed off his immense NBA skills. He can score in a variety of ways, has some great footwork in the low post, and has been able to quiet some skeptics about his defensive limitations. His performance against Florida in the tournament--27 points while knocking down three triples--should improve his draft stock greatly. Either way, the Sixers could look into adding some frontcourt depth in this range should their pick fall there.

VJ Edgecombe, Baylor

2024-25 stats: 15 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 3.2 apg, 2.1 spg, 43.6% FG, 34% 3-FG

Edgecombe is ready for the NBA. His athleticism is what's going to stand out to scouts the most as he features a unique blend of speed and IQ which makes him ready for the league. He has shown point-of-attack creation and an ability to put the ball in the basket off the dribble that will allow him to adjust to NBA defenses. He's also an underrated playmaker as well as a perimeter defender which will feature well as a lead ball-handler for a second unit.
