Stewart would be interesting...

Man, it feels too soon for mocks. On the other hand, when is the kickoff for next season?

We do not need a RB with our 1st round pick.

It has to be DE / OL / CB. We must stick to the coaching staff's plan. No need to get flashy. If he believed in that, we would have AP.

In fact, our entire draft should be 2 CB's, and all trench players. Pass rushers & Linemen.

Pass rushers & Linemen.

Fortify your frontlines and let the rest take care of itself. That has a lot going for it, but it can't be so rigid that you end up passing on a guy you think is special at another spot.

Johnathan Stewart is a beast, him and Dixon kept the Ducks going through all those injuries, and the fact he played with turf toe in the Sun bowl, He would be good if there!

IMNSHO, this mock draft is full of holes, but I like his picks for the Cards. If available, Stewart is the BPA ( mandatory strategy for 1st Round pick ) and fills a need.

Stewart is gone before Cards pick 16. Graves would have to trade up. 4 teams ahead of Cards need RB in a RB thin draft.

If we do our homework during free agency, anything is possible. If we sign an O-lineman and a cb during free agency , we could select Stewart.
Again , the draft should not be a cure for our needs. The draft should be for the future. Good teams don't throw there draft picks in and say the problem is fixed. Mediocre and poor teams can do that because they aren't expected to win. They can afford to let their draft picks learn on the job.
We are on the verge of turning the corner. We cannot go into the draft thinking that we will take the best CB available and our problem is solved. That's when teams "reach" for a player.

This talk about letting Edge walk is insane. Drafting Stewart may well happen but it would be crazy to hope and pray Stewart could step right in.

Take care of Dansby, Pace and Fitz.
Go out and get a o-lineman and a cb during free agency and let the draft fall as it may.

With that mock having Cason go before we picked, I'd be ecstatic with Stewart. He's a stud.

I really liked our picks, but didn't agree with some of the others. I think if Miami keeps their pick (which I doubt) they will take Dorsey, Long or Long, and St. Louis will definitely take Jake Long. Their lack of O-line is what killed them this year.

Finally, I will puke no matter who NE gets (especially if its the ILB from USC--the kids is a stud).
