The Oklahoma Sooners had a big weekend with their three-game sweep of the Mississippi State Bulldogs in SEC action. After losing a series to Tennessee and Alabama, the Sooners were in need of a bounceback weekend in conference play and the bats came through in a big way.

The Sooners scored 19 runs and had to come from behind in game two and three to earn the sweep. This after scoring just seven runs in their series loss to Alabama, including only a run in their two losses in Tuscaloosa.

It was huge for the Sooners who will next face the Texas Longhorns at Love's Field for three games next weekend. The Sooners are now 39-5 on the season and 13-5 in SEC play. They're currently a half-game back of Texas A&M (Aggies play Monday night) for first place in the conference standings and tied with the Longhorns heading into the pivotal Red River Showdown in Norman.

After a strong weekend for the Sooners, here are the three stars from the sweep over Mississippi State.

1. Hannah Coor, CF

Hannah Coor has solidified herself as an everyday centerfielder for the Oklahoma Sooners. In the sweep of the Bulldogs, she played a key role with her bat and her defense. At the plate, Coor went 3-for-7 with two home runs and three RBIs.

Her two-run home run in the second inning of game one put Oklahoma up 4-0 and that was enough for the Sooners to open the series with a win. Coor's home run in the second inning of game three cut Mississippi State's lead to two.

She also provided fantastic defense throughout the series, robbing Mississippi State of a couple of opportunities to put runs on the board with a diving play for the third out of the inning with runners on first and third and taking away extra bases at the warning track.

2. Nelly McEnroe-Marinas, 3B

The captain hit a pair of home runs in Oklahoma's comeback win in game two on Sunday. The first one tied the game at five. The second one put Oklahoma up three going into the top of the seventh. That was a strong way to bounce back from an 0-4 effort in the first game of the doubleheader.

Nelly McEnroe-Marinas is tied for the team lead with 13 home runs, 10 of which have come in SEC play. She's also tied with Kasidi Pickering for the team lead in RBIs with 43. The redshirt freshman is cooking.

3. Sam Landry, P

Oklahoma's ace threw like an ace during the sweep. She started off the weekend with a seven-inning complete game shutout of Mississippi State. She then picked up the save in the Sooners 6-5 win over the Bulldogs in game two of the series.

Though she allowed five runs in the first two innings to Mississippi State in game three, Landry settled down and held the Bulldogs scoreless over the next three innings before allowing a run in the sixth. But by that time, the Sooners had come back and taken the lead.

She's been great for Oklahoma this year. Landry is 15-3 and has a 1.89 ERA on the season. In a year where Oklahoma's pitching has had its ups and downs, Landry's been one of the best in the nation.

Two wins & a save for @sam_landry21 on the weekend!
