The Carolina Hurricanes defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 5-0 Saturday night at Wells Fargo Center for their seventh straight win.

The Canes got scoring up and down the lineup with Sebastian Aho, Mark Jankowski (x2), Taylor Hall and Scott Morrow all chipping in, while Pyotr Kochetkov pitched a 26-save shutout.

After the game, Hurricanes coach Rod Brind'Amour along with Jankowski and Morrow spoke with the media in Philadelphia. Here's what they had to say:

Rod Brind'Amour

On the biggest keys to the game
: [Kochetkov] was really, to state the obvious. Made a few saves early in the game, especially in the first period where if they go in, it's a different game. Then we had a couple of good individual efforts. Blake on the first goal and then we just played a pretty solid game. Not giving up a heck of a lot and capitalizing when we had our chances.

On Scott Morrow scoring his first NHL goal: That's special and the guys know it. They've all been there. Scotty's come in and done a nice job for us. Those are little, special moments that I think, as a group, they like to share together because they know how important it is.

On how Mark Jankowski is making such a smooth adjustment: Well, I mean, he's putting the puck in the net on his chances, right? That's one way to make friends. We don't expect that every night, but it's been nice to get it from a guy like that who you're not really expecting, not getting as much ice time as the other guys, but he's producing and that's huge for our group.

On Eric Robinson: On both those [Jankowski] goals, it was just great plays by Robby. He's another one of those guys who's been a little bit unsung with this group, but has been very, very valuable. I think he was all over the game tonight.

On having the hot hand
: I feel like it's just coming to me right now. Playing with great players and I mean, obviously, we're a great team. We're having the puck a lot right now, we're playing well as a team, so luckily it's finding me right now and I'm able to finish them.

On fitting in with Carolina: It's been great. Honestly, from day one, coming into this group, everyone's just made me feel right at home right away. When you're going to different teams and stuff, right away there's nerves, jitters, you don't really know anyone, but when I came into this locker room, I felt like I was here for years. Everyone just made me feel so welcome and I was able to just go out and play my game and focus on hockey right away.

On the team's effort level coming in on a back-to-back: It was huge. Obviously back-to-backs are hard, especially with travel, but this league is hard and sometimes you have to do the little things and I feel like right from the puck drop, we were doing the little things right and were able to come out on top.

On the locker room energy: It's awesome and so much fun. You can tell right away as soon as I got here on day one, the energy, the vibes. It's been so much fun. Everyone is just having a great time. Coming to the rink every day has just been a lot of fun. I don't know how else to say it. When you're winning, winning is fun and the vibes in the locker room, everyone is having a good time and then when it's time to work, everyone is working hard. I think that all goes hand-in-hand.

On Scott Morrow scoring his first NHL goal: I think all five guys on the ice were jumping up and down, the whole bench was going nuts. Anytime you can see someone get their first goal, you kind of take it back to your first goal and how excited you were so I can just imagine the feelings he's going through. Probably a million text messages on his phone right now. It's such a special time and I'm just so happy for him to be able to get that first goal out of the way.

On Pyotr Kochetkov: He's a gamer. Both of our goalies, we've been rotating since I've been here, and both goalies give us a chance to win every single night. They've been making the stops that they need to and then the stops that they aren't really expected to make either. It's been a lot of fun playing in front of those two guys.

Scott Morrow

On scoring his first NHL goal
: It was really cool. I was a Flyers fan growing up — my dad was drafted here — so I wanted to get it tonight. Even though it wasn't a real important goal for the game — it was already sealed — it's still a big moment for me and my family and it's a really cool feeling.

On the emotions: The first thing I thought of was just hoping for a guy to grab the puck because you know, it is a big thing. It was a weight off of my shoulders when it went in. I'm just glad and hopefully it's the first of many.

On how he's fit in with the team: They've been super welcoming and the energy is just off the charts. It feels like every night I've been here, we just have more than the other team and we just outlast them and play with more energy. It's easy to fit into a group when they're doing that and they've made it really easy for me and I'm just thankful to be here.
